Me, i have about the same 10-15 people come over to my place. The girlfriend usually makes a big dinner for everyone. Everybody at least comes with something in hand...Liqour, beer, chips, etc. Come time for the main event, everybody is already shouting and placing bets with eachother. Sometimes we set up a $10 pool for which round u thing the fight will end. Afterwards, we all talk more shit, and argue about technicalities in the fight. All the married guys go home, while everybody else finishes thier night in nearby bar.
I'm actually going to his house for this weekends fight.......problem is that it's his sister in laws B-Day party going onat the same time.So I may introduce a few new fans to the sport but also will surely not get the peace and comfort of watching the fight without a bunch of distractions going on but oh well.....I'll probablyend up fucking one of his wifes friends or something.:D

1. Buy Food early ( tell every one at the resturant)
2. Buy Alcohol early ( tell everyone at the LQ)
3. Sit infront of TV and not move until Jim Lampley says goodnight!
Hardly any of my friends watch boxing, so I just relax and enjoy the fight. I'll eat whatever I'm feeling at the time. The only ceremonial thing until recently was smoking up between fights :439: , but I stopped that.
:lol1: :lol1:
I hear ya...nothing worse than people that don't understand the magnitude of such an event and want to talk and ask pandering questions during a fight like this.

I go out with the lads then get home and watch it on my own like a loser cos none of them give a shit about boxing. I strangely enjoy it though. It's like my own personal vice. I live in England though so I'm up till bout 5:30 thats a long night of drinkin
Fucker aint it! God damn that stupid Time Zone :firedevil
I have 1 friend that comes for all the fights but he is like a n00b and I have to explain who the guys are and whatnot......He is catching on since he has been watching pretty much every major fight with me over the past 3 years but he does nothing to further his knowledge of the sport.

I wish I knew more people that were into Boxing like I am and like the people on this site......
That's the muthafuckin' truth.
What u doin for this fight?
Internet stream and Puerto Rican rum. Possibly some Puerto Rican food from a local joint.
It was actually really good. I still prefer a Corona or Guiness to it, but it was much better than I anticipated. I can't count the number of times I've had alcohol imported to try only to be disappointed, but Otley's Golden Ale was awesome.
And I agree, some fights you just don't want to get tanked on. Although a few beers is nothing you couldn't handle and score the fight correctly. I remember with Marquez/Vazquez II I was taking a shot of Tequila everytime the action intensified, and I was well fucked up by the time of the stoppage. That was an awesome night, that was the last time I had friends watch a fight with me and we all enjoyed the fuck out of it.
It's funny too, they had no idea who either guy was, or anything about boxing. They were convinced they were about to see a 12 round borefest, damn were they wrong. Thats a HELL of a fight tho! I watched Cotto vs Torres at the Pub with my mates - Every 1 was well impressed!
I Love it when the non fans get to see just how good boxing can be! But i must say when EVEN I am steaming drunk if it aint an out an out blood soaked war i think i just watched A BOREFEST!!! :pat:
Guess the drunk man just gets a bit Blood thirsty! At Earl vs Katsides me and my mates were like the Pit Fighter Crowd! lol Thank God for Replays! :biggthump What u doin for this fight?
