I want to see Roy Jones Jr vs Joe Calzaghe. 2 unorthodox fighters going at it would be something to see. They are both very athletic and quick and can punch. Calzaghe is a southpaw too and we all know how that bothers Roy Jones. I think that would be the more exciting fight and a great boxing match between athletes. What do yall think?... especially if Roy looks very good against Tito
If Roy can dominate Tito worse than Wright did, yes, it might very well tell us something. If Roy is truly shot, then he cannot even dominate Tito. That does not stand up to reason.
so what if jones dominates tito, a former welter who hasnt boxed in 2 years. theres no glory in a win for jones. jc would beat rjj now, jones thing was speed and reflexes which you cant hold on to at 39 years of age. jc should have pushed for these fights to happen 5-7 years ago, but then again if he did, he wouldnt be unbeaten today
I know Roy Jones must put on a good showing against Tito in order for this to be seriously considerate. But I seen Joe get hit with a lot of flush punches against a guy who doesn't have the best hand speed. Roy's chin has been a lil suspect, but his hand speed is still there. he prolly would have no problem landing on Joe at all. And I wonder if Joe's chin can stand up to Roy's power like he did against Kessler.
:dunno: RJJ is orthadox....?????
I think u mean conventional as in he fights right hand. I meant his style and Joe's are unorthodox and different than everyone else's style of fighting. They both do a lot of things they shouldn't when it comes to boxing.

Roy is not shot. He is still a top 10 guy at 175.
But, he is probably not much of a match for Joe at this point. Let's see how Roy looks vs a rusty Tito first. He better look amazing.
he is shot......there is no point hanging onto the vein hope that he will turn back the clock because it wont happen
what is he now? 38?

if RRJ wasnt as washed up as my dishes id love this
but as it stands Roy is a shot fighter so i say no....but i guess if Joe wants to make a few quid by KOing legend then fair play to him i spose
