At least I can say I wasn't surprised at all when the fight was over.
A class fighter v.s. B- or B+ at best fighter.

I asked him whether he wopuld come back to BS if Kessler loses, and he assured me he would. I don't blame him for not posting yesterday, a lot of people stay off the site for a few days when their fighter loses.
Kessler fans have nothing to be ashamed of.
"P4P was a term invented by Americans to take emphasis off the heavyweight division"
Really ? It was created back during Ray Robinson's heyday, as a way to salute & sum up his amazing ability.
Learn your history, before you spout out such ignorance.
So you are saying that
A) it was invented by Americans
B) it was coined in Robinsons time to gauge a fighters a bility, irrespective of his weight (i.e not emphasize the HW division as the best)
hmmmm

kessler is the future. Calzaghe is a cunning veteran who had too much experience for Kessler on the night. RJJ would have been KO'd as soon as Kessler breathed on him.
Kessler got taught a lesson against Calzaghe, and I know he will come back better than ever.
As a Danish boxing fan I've seen every one of his fights, including the first string of opponents. Kessler went pro early because of the lack of tough opponents in the Danish amateur league, and we got to see exactly how good he is at learning from a fight.
Kessler had never been in a situation where he couldn't keep his opponent off him, even though he connected with some hard shots when Calzaghe came in. Round 6-11 he used too much attention trying to maintain his preferred distance, instead of stepping left, and returning the fire. He wasn't as fast as Calzaghe, but he showed fast enough to land combos.
He seemed intimidated by Calzaghe’s style in those rounds, and didn’t keep up his punching rate.
I'm still proud of him (amazed with Calzaghe), and I happy he fought the way he did in the 12th. This should give him the confidence to battle it out, should his distance be compromised another time.
Sad this fight wasn’t made straight after Lacy, which would have left time for a squeal. (Joe would be true 4 belt champ).
Peace!
Calzaghe ruels.
I still dont know what made him think Kessler was gonna win, the signs were obvious from the beggining. Calzaghe by beatdown/wide decision, i was telling him this ages ago.
:lol1:
yeah as soon as kessler defeats his next opponent he will come back and start talking shit or when joe retires.... for the meantime he will be on the board posting as another user
