won 137 (KO 99) + lost 5 (KO 3) + drawn 2
50 plus of Wilde's opponents were fighters without a win.
Give me a break:rolleyes:
Calzaghe and Lewis are the top two, its real close, but id give the nod to Lewis.
absolutely amazing
i made a few thread about him a while back but no one replied to them he was the best flyweight ever and possibly a top 10 candidate one of my favourite fighters
agreed if he fights and beats B Hop then he has cemented his legacy. but wilde great his record is amazing with 99 KO's and only 5 losses most of them against much bigger men he is the best british fighter in my book and an ATG.absolutely amazing
nah.i think joe will fight 5 more fights and cement this claim
cool sig
there is no one cooler than keith

Wilde was a boxing immortal, a demigod. His power is the stuff of legends. Calzaghe is merely a very successful fighter. I don't think he'll be remembered as being anything more than very good for his times.

you need to define "Greatest"
Do you mean he has the greatest skill?
or
Has he acomplished the most?
yes,and the second,i think he beats hopkins he answers the second question
What makes you so sure Wilde is #1? I have Fitz at #1...
1 - Fitzimmons
2 - Wilde
Then you have Lewis, Calzaghe, Ted Kid Lewis, and maybe Hatton. Hatton will be third if he beats Mayweather, that much is clear to me. I'm happy with anyone who rates Calzaghe above Lewis and Lewis, I'd be happy to hear him called p4p #1 post war from Britain if Hatton loses.
fitzsimmons isn't any different than lewis,he's more kiwi than he is a brit, lennox belong to the world, britain canada jamaica.
Joe Calzaghe is the greatest fighter from the u.k ever.
"Greatest"? If you want to argue he is best because of generational advantages that's fine (though wrong) but "greatest"? How is he greatest than a three weight world champion and one of the hardest punchers of all time?
