I don't think this has been posted before?
Not much training to be fair but it does give an insight into his mindset and thought process about his career.
The thing this video shows is the humility of the man. I mean how many champions of lesser ilk would have a friendly one to one these days without slagging an opponent off or having an entourage present?
Yeah good point, probably not many. The thing with Calzaghe is that he could have been a PR golden egg. Clean cut, good looking and a great fighter. The money he could of made is incomprehensible given the right sort of marketing.

Bang on Micky.
Some of our American friends(and Euros') on here would only judge Joe based on the name of the fighter he was fighting i.e. RJJ, Hopkins, Wright etc but this in reality would prove nothing now.
If Joe beats Kessler who is obviously in his prime when Joe is obviously not surely the doubters must hold their hands up and say 'Yep he was a great Champion'?
They wont though CW.
For Joe to be classed as one of the greats he will have to beat Kessler and move up and probably beat Hopkins even though it will then be said that Hopkins is shot. So he probably cannot win.
Don't think there is much doubt about his ability really, his desire has been questioned though.
To take the Lacy and Kessler fights tells me different though, Lacy as Joe said was easy but it didn't look that way before the fight and Kessler will be tricky no doubt.
I feel it would have been easier for Joe to have taken say a lucrative Roy Jones fight or perhaps a Hopkins, as a loss to either of those would have only proven what some thought whereas many expect him to beat the dangerous Kessler but....this shows desire to me, desire to claim the division and fight the prime champion about.

I would certainly put him in that sort of company. Lets see how he deals with Kessler, then we will have a better picture of him. He's 35 almost 36 and if he can beat Kessler then it shows in my mind at least that he could have mixed with the best ten years or so ago.
Nice to see him talk about how his hand trouble has made him change his style so he has gone from a puncher to a boxer. That tells you something about his ability.

I think that's why he hasn't really had the fame and adulation that he deserves, he is content to live in Welsh Valley's and couldn't care less really what people think of him.
There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the greatest boxers of his generation and I would put him in the class of Hopkins, Jones and Mayweather. That's my opinion.

He's just an average decent bloke, hence he still lives in his village etc.
I would like to see him fight his last couple (win or lose against Kessler) in the States just so he can make his money before he retires.

Such a honest and modest guy. He is a class-act.
