Some boxers have it, and some don't. Hatton has it.
When they like to fight there's a certain quality....a certain zest.
These guys also had it:
In this round (round 1), Jack Dempsey destroyed the 6' 6", 250 lbs heavyweight champion, Jess Willard. Willard lost 8 teeth, sustained 12 fractures of the cheekbone, a broken nose, 13 fractures of the jaw bone, and two broken ribs. There was a certain zest here:
For your viewing pleasure...Mr. Max Bear:
Roberto Duran was quite zesty:
Marvin Hagler was not one to mince words:
Julio Ceasar Chavez just liked to fight:
Smokin Joe = pitbull:
Kostya Tszyu enjoyed knocking people out:
These guys just really liked to fight. They didn't run. They weren't businessmen first. They had ZEST. Zest is best.
Hatton is very dirty. I guess he needs to compensate for what he lacks in skill.
I would hope that a fight breaks out between Marquez and Floyd. I still think the fight right now should be Pacquaio v. Floyd. Pacquiao will force a fight to happen.
Carl 'the cat' Thompson will not be beaten for zest, i've yet too see another fighter with as much heart ever
Oh, I left out clips of quite a few others for lack of space. But, I think the point has been made. As to active fighters, I should quickly add the names of Mannie Pacquiao and Kelly Pavlik along with Hatton's.
Zest is best. I like it Wiley.
On another note:
I just started watching Collazo - Hatton. Hatton is a dirty son of a bitch!!! . One of the dirtiest fighter's I've seen in a long, long time. Looks like he burned himself out a little bit trying to get Collazo out of there. Class fight.
Floyd is in for a rude awakening when he takes some shots to the liver. Collazo stood up to them because he was a naturally bigger guy. I'm not sure Floyd is going to stand up to them well. Especially when Hatton gets him on the ropes and holds and hits. Mayweather better hope he stays off the ropes...
Hatton is beastly. Just full of zest.
