I personally feel it's better to root for someone respectfully but I feel you 100%, sometimes it's better to just not predict a winner, to just watch the fight and hope the guns go pop and the action is worth the money, when fights like that go down you'll be happy either way because you got to see a good fight, you get what you wanted. I pick Floyd because I can't help but dissect into the fighters styles and IMO Floyd got it but I feel where you coming from, thats how I was when Barrera fought Naseem Hamed, I fell back on the predictions and till this day I still remember how hyped I was in that fight because to me either could have won, it was no preference but in a more recent fight with Taylor and Pavlik I was kind of disappointed that Taylor couldn't pull it off, I give Pavlik 1,000% respect but I was really rooting for Taylor so when he lost I was more like "FUCK!!", I can see how it took away from the way I viewed that amazing action packed bout, had I not picked anyone my reaction to the outcome would have been way different on the real.. 100
i get you about the pavlik fight mate. i was sort of the same with the third morales/pacquiao fight in a way were i knew both fighters had great abilities but i just leant more towards morales and when paqcuiao won i was sort of upset but the fact that i did rout for one fighter made me more hyper about the fight. Also about the fact that we should be happy the fight happened, %100 agreed there because this fight was always an "IF" so i was very pleased its happenin now. I understand your reasons for floyd, the man does use a sort of Guerilla tactics but hatton hits and binds weighing down a fighter and tiring him out so this can (and probably will) go back and forth. Their contrast of styles will this fight a very interestin one. :)
The fight should have happened at 140.
It had a chance to, but Ricky wasn't ready...
It's pretty demanding to ask a guy who just won the 154 belt to fight at 140.
He's fighting a bum, Hatton is nobody. He's overrated, he ducked every legitimate threat ever. He beat his wife, he tried to kill some people at the VMAs, he's cocky. He's classless, a total prick. Good for nothing, ducked Margarito. Afraid of a fight, runs from everybody. Has pillow fists, never beat anybody of substance. Not ATG material.
Have I left anything out? That's all his haters can say about the dude. They can't discuss anything at all rationally, they just start pulling any of those lines from their ass.
you forgot he raped and is a child molester :D
You were talking loads of shit when Pavlik beat Taylor. Yet, I looked in your post history and could not find many predictions of Pavlik beating Taylor.
You said "I hate to say I told you so", to alot of the posters.
Only problem is...
you never told anyone anything.
Ummm, I can vouch that The Bringer bet points on Pavlik. I remember seeing it in his signature.
.......:nonono:
So who the hell made you God? Get off your high horse you shallow prick.
I must have missed the memo that said expressing an opinion on an internet forum made you god.........
Agreed. apart from the floyd win part, i have no idea who to pick and i think its better that way because come the night of the fight i wont be routing for any fighter, il just be looking for a good fight. Your right ricky is very humble. He heads into town to the local pub and throws some arrows with the locals and i cant say floyd does any of that type of stuff with his locals. I think with Hattons humbleness itl be hard for floyd to get at him mentaly, making this an interesting fight in many ways because no fighter will be coming in, guns blazing because they're annoyed. Can't wait!

Are you talking about Joepal and Joeartcc? These two guys spew so much bullshit its getting out of hand. I agree 100% with your post.
I'm talking about all of them, but yeah, they're definitely included. Running around, digging up unknown guys on their records from boxrec, talking about it like they actually seen the fight, dismissing a fighter's entire career based solely on the fact that they "never heard of" (insert fighter here) on (any fighter except Pacquiao's record here).
It's one thing to talk shit, it's another to cross the line and blatantly disrespect any guy who tapes up his hands to get in the ring and risk his life for your entertainment.
If Mayweather wins it's because Ricky is a bum. If he loses, it's because Mayweather always sucked and he was so bad he got beaten by a bum named Hatton. That is what will be said here on December 9th. Revisionists love making shit up.
I love how a guy with noteable wins over Tszyu and Castillo, and a record of 43-0 with some solid opposition (though not know by most here who don't watch British boxing) is a bum. Like these fucking keyboard warriors could beat anybody Hatton or Mayweather has. :lol1:

Whats worse is that they will deny that they do that until the end of time. When it is so obvious that is what they are doing.
Some people hate admitting their wrong at these things though. It's a mental illness IMO

That's why I pick my threads carefully here in "non stop boxing". There are a lot of intelligent, nonbiased guys here from around the world. But usually it only takes one or two dumbasses to fuck up an otherwise intelligent thread completely.
Sadly most posters here allow personal beliefs and/or feelings towards a fighter cloud their judgment about their in ring abilities and accomplishments. I could name dozens of examples but it would ultimately be an exercise in futility.

Exactly they let hate cloud their judgement.

lol for a minute when I first started reading this before I hit your 2nd paragraph I though WHAT?? good one and yes I agree these haters do nothing but spew hate out of their asses irrationally, like I stated in the other thread they aren't fans of the sport they are fans of the fighters so when someone points out the negative things on their fighter they feel the need to come out and defend them by bashing the other guy which is complete 2nd grade bullshit.. 100
I think he's facing a BIG threat in Ricky Hatton, Floyd likes to say "38 have tried, 38 have failed" but if Ricky wanted to he can say "43 have tried, 43 have failed", whats a bigger number? Ricky ain't no chump he's just going against the most skillful Boxer of this era in Floyd, I pick Floyd but in no way is Ricky a bum, not only is he a TRUE class act, humble and generous, he carries himself respectably in and out of the ring, that and the fact that he's beaten everyone he has ever faced in the professional ranks, has more wins and KO's than Floyd, has beaten Kostya Tszyu into submission something that Mayweather didn't (not couldn't, I believe he could) do and has a relentless style. Ricky is no chump but in terms of beating Floyd? nah.. 100

Let the haters tell it it is a little bit of both. When PBF wins he was supposed to because they will say Hatton wasn't on his level(Bum) but at the sametime claim that PBF is going to lose it makes no sense at all.

I'm hearing both.
