According to ESPN.com's Dan Rafael, he was asked what Pavlik/Taylor did for a rating and said that according to HBO, well over two million viewers tuned in to watch the fight.
I'm very impressed. 2 million folks watching a fight on pay TV at 11 PM? Pretty damn good. Any thoughts?
It was free on HBO. I think less than a fourth of that group would have paid. They already have the channel though, why not tune in? I think they could get close to 500,000 buys in a rematch though if Taylor is build back up the right way, though.
