Not your favorite fighter, ur favorite fighter to watch.
So exclude ur favorites in this.
Like my favorite fighters are Hatton, Pavlik, Wright, and Vazquez. So im NOT gonna pick any of them.
So my Favorite fighter to watch, is Paul Williams, cause i couldnt care any less then i do about whether or not he wins, but watching him is a pleasure.
I also like Cotto, but dont really mind if he wins or loses as long as he puts on a show, which is basically garunteed.
And i also like Mayweather, but on December 8th i really hope he loses, however its unlikely he will ever lose if he keeps retiring after every fight :(
I enjoy Pavlik right now. How can you not enjoy watching a guy who throws bombs and is hittable? In his fights I cant help but think either guy could drop at any time.
I also loved watching MAB and Morrales in there primes. Fighting each other or whoever else.
Same with Gatti when he was in his prime. You knew you would see a guy laying it all on the line every time out.
I used to love watching Johnny Tapia fight. That guy could put on a show.
I enjoyed watching Lennox Lewis fight, cause he knocked out pretty much everybody he fought. That and the fact that he got knocked out a couple times made it to where you never knew what would happen when he got hit.
I like watching the Klit bros, for the same reason I like Lennox.
Sugar Shane is fun to watch when he's on his game.
Diego was always fun to watch when he was in his prime, but it sucked to watch him get beat up towards the end (just like Gatti.)
And the Marquez bros are a blast to watch every time out.
Wlad - KO's everybody
Vitali - KO's everybody
Pavlik - KO's everybody
With exception of Lennox Lewis. He owned his big brother Vitali and bet the shit out of Wlad.
yea but for this thread, favorite guys u like watching, but dont care if they win/lose
usually u care a lot whether or not ur favorite fighters win/lose.
For example, im sure u felt sick after Gatti got knocked out...
fair point ..
pavlik, i love watching him fight, how he just walks through guys, wears them down, sick right hand, decent chin, exciting
but if he got knocked out, fuck it
Old Timers: SRL, Aaron Pryor, Foreman, Pernell (Master!), Hagler, Julian Jackson, Roy JJ (in his prime, I put him in Old timers cause he aint the same guy)
Now-a-days: Marquez Bros., Cotto, Vic, Wlad, Pac, J. Gonzales
2000s Miguel Cotto
1990s Felix Trinidad
1980s Chavez
I love the come forward style of these guys but don't get it twisted you asked for your favorite and not many favorites cause I appreciate all styles and of boxing. There are so many names in boxing I can name that it would be rediculous to post up. So I'll just stick to my aggressive style boxers for the sake of this thread.
Lennox Lewis (one of my favorites) He had one of the best jabs in the game. Once he got into his zone it was hard to derail him off his plan. Lewis was a straight up beast when he went in for the KO. He also had a killer uppercut and a thunderous right cross.
Katsidis, Pavlik, Juan Diaz and Cotto.
Cotto and Diaz have similar syles, but Cotto's methodical approach and consistant punching and body attacks are something to behold.
He knows what he does well and tries to do that, he doesnt try and extend himself by trying to box, he creates a gameplan before fights and sticks too it, its awesome too see.
