There's been a lot of dicsussion on here as of late about who Manny Pacquiao should fight in his next fight. I think a poll is the best way to get a general idea of what the fans want to see.
jmm, baby bull is too risky for pac.
i dont think fighting baby bull is risky, if pac loose it will be just like when Erik fought Raheem at LW, EM went back to SFW and finished the trilogy with PAC...
pac can go back to SFW and challenge the champions ...
i am sure guzman, valero and juan manuel will still be interested...
for me settle unfinished business with Juan Manuel, then winner of sotto-guzman, then valero for the undisputed SFW Championship...
after that fight the undisputed champ at LW (most probably Juan Diaz) for a battle of the undisputed champs...
if i could not have that order, at the momment i will settle for any world champs (juan manuel, guzman, valero, the diazes)
good read on who should get a date with PAC...LOL

Manny's less spectacular conquest of Marco Antonio Barrera has driven many in the super featherweight and lightweight classes scampering to the beeline.
Everybody wants to get a piece of Manny and of the money that goes along with him.
From Venezuelan Edwin Velero to Joan Guzman, Englishman Alex Arthur and Juan Manuel Marquez in the 130-lbs class to Joel Casamayor, David Diaz and Juan Diaz in the 135-lbs limit – all of them champions in their own right.
The catch however is "if the price is right."
Curiously, somebody has yet to challenge Manny in a winner take all fight.
Simply put, they are all willing to take the risk for the love of money.
David Diaz fired first by demanding a seven-figure purse to stake his World Boxing Council belt. At 31 and with another lineal titlist Juan Diaz looming as a potential foe in a unification bout, David Diaz wants to earn megabucks before, perhaps, surrendering his title to his (sur)namesake.
That's a good business sense. Indeed, why fight Juan for a purse far less than fighting the biggest draw in the lightweight division? Juan Diaz, on the other hand, knew too well that there is no money out there except fighting a boxer named Manny Pacquiao. Casamayor could wait. While he may be a sleek fighter, his style will make a boring match. Not good for television.
Marquez? Forget about him. He won't fight Manny if he can't have his retirement pay. Valero won't sell unless the fight is staged in the US where he is banned from fighting because of a head injury suffered in a motorcycle accident several years back. Joan Guzman is a probable but his name doesn't ring a bell and that is bad for HBO's pay per view card. A fight with Alex Arthur is a longshot.
So who should Manny fight next?
A fight Juan Diaz is probably the most lucrative bout for Manny. But it might be too much to soon for Manny to fight him coming off the super featherweight class.
But to satisfy Juan Diaz, why not fight him at a catch weight of 133 pounds for 12 rounds. No title at stake, just bragging rights.
Remember, Juan Diaz started as a welterweight before comfortably settling down at the regular lightweight limit and after the big punchers in the division have faded into irrelevance. Diego Corrales, one of the pure punchers in the division, is already dead. Jose Luis Castillo is already washed up and fans may have seen the last of Anecito Freitas. The triumvirate used to form part of the division's exciting fighters. Not anymore.
Juan Diaz is hungry for money fights which only Manny could provide. His plodding and bullying style fits Manny's. Both throw terrific volume of power punches and a fight with the Filipino southpaw could very well be a candidate for Fight of the Year award if it pushes trough sometime next year.
If Juan Diaz wants it badly and immediately, a non-title fight at 133 pounds will surely be a box office blockbuster.
Don King Promotions (Juan Diaz) versus Top Rank Promotions (Manny Pacquiao)? That's a megabuck card.
Otherwise, Manny may be right. Valero is next if only to shut up the blabber-mouthed Venezuelan and finally give Barrera his peace of mind.
But David Diaz is a good alternative to also give Morales his peace of mind. After all, Pacquiao and Morales have already forged a lasting friendship that vengeance, by way of Manny, is as sweet as his own.
Pac would KO Diaz in three, Juan doesnt have even have half the skill set of a MAB.
Imagine Pac's left landing flush on Juan's face a thousand times. Pac by death.
I've hated you since you joined for some reason, this post just reminded me why.
all the pac fans are voting for marquez because they know he can beat old man marquez. Heck, marquez got a gift decision against old man barrera.
definition of a flash knockdown is that. Took juan less then 1 second to get back up.
Lolz :D...where the heck are you getting those nonsense? People wanna see this fight so Pac and JMM can settle the draw between them once and for all. It's just too bad that JMM took more than 3 years to pick up his balls to call out on Pac. JMM of any fighters out there deserves to prove himself that he's the better fighter, so does Pacquiao.
Whatever happened to the "every great fighter, warrior or whatever has one last fight left in him" before the Pac-MAB rematch? Now that he got disposed of Pac, he's old. Don't get me wrong he's 4 1/2 older than Pac, but don't use that argument to back up your fighter and then suddenly resort to the "he's old and washed-up" excuse after he gets beat up later.
Then what do you call a shot that doesn't hurt Juan and he gets up less then a second from it if its not a flash knockdown? Thats definitely not a hard knockdown like Pavlik getting knockdown by taylor. Taylor getting knocked down by pavlik. This is a flash knockdown.
LOL...u r very funny...
My thoughts exactly, and the foul would've never happened had the ref done his job and stepped in there. He stood by and did nothing, so Marco started swinging. That was the most picture perfect knockdown I've ever seen but Nady's blind ass couldn't call it because he was busy staring off into space somewhere.
u got it right...the ref is inside the ring but clearly his mind is somewhere else...
because pavliks white and entertaining the complete opposite of hopkins. Hopkins is black and boring. :boxing:
Once upon a itme Hopkins had a seek and destroy style that most people tend to forget about, where he looked for an opening on his target and dismantled them. Then his age began to advance and he began to use a tactical, no-risk method of fighting.
I'm a fan of both styles. Kelly Pavlik is my current favorite Middleweight, prior to him it was B-Hops. I like a variety of fighting styles.
hey do u have an idea why the fuck old bernard hopkins is hating on pavlik?
I wasn't even aware that Hopkins said anything negative or positive about Pavlik. I'd have to know what he said in order to make an estimation of his intent.
MAB beat JMM if not for the foul and that stupid ref...

It's either Pacfans who don't want to see him risk it on Diaz, or bitter Mexicans who won't vote for a Mexican-American Diaz. But something is definitely up with Juan Manuel pulling in so many votes considering his age and the fact that Barrera nearly beat him in their match earlier this year.

I have news for you, Pacs afraid of Juan. He is a coward
He said he's willing to fight your Juan. Only a bias person will say Pac's a coward when he fought and beat the best Mexico could offer.
