He is busy with other stuff other than boxing. He is college student so it better to concentrate on tech and other stuff then dropping couple of pound.
baby fat at 24?!?!
He is okay normal he doesnt gain that much and his muscle muscle is more for stamina.
fat is not forbodin sometimes it could help him absorb some of the bodyshots
also, juan doesn't run. He uses a stairmaster or other cardio equip.
it looks like Baby Bull could drop extra 5 lbs and compete with Super Featherweighs...

Thats how he looks every fight. The guy just has like baby fat, that he will lose with maturity. He's only 24 after all, and an immature 24 at that.
This should be a TREMENDOUS fight, i cant wait

I agree. Pac's previous fights were shown by ABS. The second and the third morales fights, the larios fight and the solis fight. Some how, ABS didn't want to pay more for the TV rights of the pac-mab rematch, which is owned by MP promotion, so GMA immediately grabbed the opportunity. maybe it's GMA move to show other big boxing fights that concern pac's future opponents while ABS show other big fights like the one they will showing tomorrow, that way pinoy boxing fans will be very happy. BTW, manny will have a reality TV show at GMA this coming november.Ah, ok. But, just the same, I don't think it's a pretty smart move by ABS-CBN, pal. I won't be surprised if GMA gets to have huge ratings featuring Pacquiao's future opponents.
I am surprised why GMA missed Diaz vs. Diaz... They should have picked it up.
Anyway...Pacquiao hosting a reality show? He's a recording artist too, isn't he? The fella is going in every direction! Good for him! As long as it does not affect his fighting...
Oh, it's a competition ploy...
From what I see, buddy, I can't see how that can work well for ABS. Pacquiao is Pacquiao in the Philippines and nobody comes close. Holyfield is surely not the way to go to beat a Pacquiao in the ratings.
ABS appears to me like taking a Hail Mary swing. I doubt that it would land.
They would have had a better chance had they built up fights of Pacquiao's prospective opponents. They'll be indirectly using the Pacquiao name had they done that.
Not pretty clever, those high paid guys are, are they?
As for you guys taking over... Why don't you give it a serious thought? You cannot possibly do worse, buddy! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!I agree. Pac's previous fights were shown by ABS. even during my childhood days i remember we had a good supply of FREE World Boxing Heavy Weight Championships from ALI to HOLMES to TYSON to LEWIS... the big guys GETS more attention...Actually, I do not begrudge the airing of Heavyweight fights anywhere. I am even glad that these are aired free in PI. What I expressed surprise over was the sense of priorities of those who make decisions on which fights to broadcast. I would have thought that given the possibility of Pacquiao-Diaz (either Juan or Julio), it would have been a no brainer.
One among the two of the Philippiness biggest networks, the other one being GMA. I agree with what you said buddy but the problem is that pacman's future fights will be aired by GMA so the other networks maybe making a move to pull the other down.
LOL @ pinoy lounge gang taking over. I have no idea what kind of works they are doing on TV, all I care about are the sexy chickas in bikini :D

imho diaz vs diaz will appeal to the Pinoy boxing fans, but HOLYFIELD has more name recall for the average Pinoy viewers...Hi JOM'S!
True, Holyfield's name has the greater recall anywhere. But then, had the TV networks done their job, the Diazes would not have been unknowns at this stage, given that their names can be easily tied to the most popular Filipino fighter. No one can beat Pacquiao's name in the Philippines, and the Diazes' names can be an easy sell. Much like the Morales and Barrera names were easy sells because of their direct association with Pacquiao.
Those execs should have seen this association coming, at the very least, a year ago.
I suggested to our ol' buddy kadyo that he and some of you guys at the Pinoy Lounge should take over the sports departments of Philippine TV networks. I'm sure you'll do a much better job even if you just sleepwalk through...;)

Even klitshco's fight are being shown here now.
Hi buddy!
Oh, the Cold War is still being sold by ABS-CBN? Shame. It's the Philippines' biggest network, isn't it? Holyfield is still a huge name? Well...
I think the network should be partly faulted for Filipinos not knowing much about the Diazes. They would have been big names by now had TV sport s execs looked down the road. Pacquiao facing one of them seemed apparent as early as a year ago. The build up should have started that early too. In good part, that's what sports execs are paid highly for: to forecast big events that they can put up in the future. They should have had tied the names of the Diazes as well as Valero's, Guzman's, etc. to Pacquiao's even during the time when they had that Larios bout. Had they sown the seeds, they would have started reaping abudantly by now. Filipinos would have been horrified over the thought of missing the the coming Chicago fight.
I dunno, buddy, but I think somebody or a whole bunch of somebodies have been caught sleeping...
What dya say to the idea that you and some of the Pinoy Lounge gang take over, eh?;) I'm sure you guys will do a splendid job.
Good to see ya again!:)

Tyson versus Holyfirld was also shown live and we were expecting tyson to puch holyfield's head off his shoulder. Were we surprised to see holyfield gave tyson a neat boxing lesson.

Yes buddy, the holyfield - ibragimov fight will be aired live by ABS-CBN tomorrow becuse holyfield is popular here in the philippines and they are promoting this fight as an outbreak in the boxing ring between usa and russia after the coldwar haha!!! It's a formula that would sell and nobody here, except for boxing fans, knows the two diazes. All the people care about is pacman.
btw, I notice that juan grew a lot older since i last saw him.Hi buddy!

Edit: As for Juan grown bigger, actually, many of his early fights were around the welterweight-jr. welter classes.
yup thats the main reason ...
i don't think their is a pinoy who don't know the ear biting incident, he he...Tyson versus Holyfirld was also shown live and we were expecting tyson to puch holyfield's head off his shoulder. Were we surprised to see holyfield gave tyson a neat boxing lesson.
the holyfield fight will be shown live and will be promoted like the juan manuel marquez and eric morales fights for the simple reason that they are popular here in pinas.

No intention of hijacking this thread but, may I raise a question with the hope that someone can provide the answer?
I just learned that Ibragimov-Holyfield shall be carried "live" by a principal network in the Philippines. Why? Why this fight, instead of Diaz vs. Diaz?
Talk has been rife over the last week that Pacquiao is considering meeting the winner of the Chicago fight among several other possibilities.
What's in the Moscow fight that should generate interest among Filipinos? I haven't heard of any Filipino prospect fighting in the heavyweight division... And, Ibragimov-Holyfield is not so big as to warrant being given priority over Diaz-Diaz.
Should Filipino fight fans who had not seen either or both Diaz/es in action be deprived of this chance because people in the country's TV sports programming depts. are seemingly out to a very protracted lunch?
I dunno... just asking...

Yeah what Kball said, I think it's just baby fat. Obviously the guy keeps himself in excellent condition. Also some guys are ripped, and some guys will always be a little pudgy. Johnny Tapia didnt have the body you'd expect to see on a guy with excellent stamina either.
