Aside the fact that he is an elusive fighter and cocky, there are few people that can give credible reasons to hate Mayweather.
Ali was hated for what he stood for outside the ring. He was also charasmatic, cocky and flamboyant. It is only after we (so-called boxing fans) see him in this pitiful and humbled state that we come to adore and somewhat respect his accomplishments. Many promoters, boxing venues and handlers alike were fed off of Ali's Talent, as they are with Mayweather.
To all the all of the Mayweather haters LIST FIVE VALID REASONS TO HATE HIM.
Yup, and your pinoy champion keeps on wrecklessly coming forward, until he gets KTFO by someone who can counterpunch and not shoot their load by the prospect of a toe-to-toe battle.
Ah u must mean Joan Guzman! :boxing:
he floats like butterfky and he keeps on floating...

I believe Dios already schooled your friend about that whole thing in the other thread.
No. In fact, Dios runs like hell when he finds me on this subject.
Floyd's was against HOF Kostya Tszyu. This would have been his Ali/Frazier fight. Unfortunately for the fans, Floyd melted away to fight bums and protect his undefeated record. This is the truth.

so true..I agree 110%
That's because there aren't as many great fighters in today's era as there were in the past. Floyd's Roberto Duran is Castillo, Floyd's Tommy Hearns is Diego Corrales, Floyd's Delahoya is every fighter's wish (biggest payday)
I THINK I'VE MADE MYSELF CLEAR

why dont you put you're glasses on if you cant read small writing?
and, just to humour you, and takin two divisions as an example
pacquaio
mayweather, hatton, cotto
all as good as anyone in their divisions ever
lennox/vitali would have given any HW a fuckin good fight, only ali, foreman, tyson would have had a chance
etc etc
with developments in sports science/nutrition fighters are gettin better, faster and stronger, just that so are the journeymen so fighters dont get to walk through scores of unfit bums like sugar ray and ali did back in the day
That is absurd... Hatton better than JCC...
Mayweather better than SRR.
Cotto better than Tommy Hearns.
Pacquiao better than Alexis Arguello.
If you are talking about head-to-head fantasy fights, todays might win, but that is because of the evolution of science.
Resume wise, it's no comparison.
Yes I do have the balls to enter the squared circle. I've been training for almost a year now and hope to get a fight in the future. So by your standards... Coward Coward Coward.
You say its just and ACT. Yah... its called being Phoney! ACTing. Another term. Wanna be. I only know what he portrays himself to be and by his past actions of ducking and running. So I speak on them. Im sure plenty people would agree with me.
The fact is. I watched Mayweather DLH. I put money on Mayweather to win. I actually at that time was a semi-fan of his. We watched it at a house with over 50 people watching. Mostly casual fans. It was embarrasing to be on Floyds side and watch him run. It was embarassing that everyone got drawn into a world awaits fight and probably 95% of the people that watched it at the house were'nt impressed at all. They were bored. Who made it boring. Mayweather. It wasnt DLH. He did his job. He did what he said he was going to do. Pressure. Floyd said toe to toe and instead he ran like a coward. What a con artist fruad. That fight broke PPV records. The biggest fight of all time. And what did all these buyers witness? A snorefest to most. It was the greatest upset in boxing. All Hype and no bite. And who is to blame. Floydboys hero. Granted I enjoyed it. But it made boxing less appealing to most. Especially at a time when boxing had something to prove as a sport with a new generation of MMA making its stand with excitement. Pound for Pound #1 putting on a show like that. Embarassing. He should be ashamed of himself. He lost my respect. I had finally seen the light.
Bhop was my favorite active fighter. More than MP. But lately its a split with MP. He fights like a true warrior. Running from no one. Doesnt boast about the millions of dollars he has. And takes risks to give the fans what they want to see. A fight. He's been the excitment of boxing for a couple years now and is sitting at #2 behind a pound for pound #1 fake. Cowards and duckers who handpick their fights shouldnt have the honor to hold that high of a position. MP's been going to war while Floyd's been running from them. P4P #1 should be a warrior. But its all good. He'll get it one day.
Im just getting tired of not seeing credit where credit is due, and giving of credit where its not. Just my opinion.
BTW. Acting is what they do in WWF. It should be left out of boxing.
Thats cool I can appriciate your break down. You have your standards on your fighter and I have mine. The point I was making is that some people call other fighters cowards and doesnt have the nuts to fight anyone. So you made a valid, good point and I respect that.
im not complaining about anything apart from the size of you're fucking font
Post 93 started all of this, you started throwing the word "great" around too lightly. Being bigger, stronger and having better tools in to train in today's era doesn't make them greater.
That's all there is to it.
I took size 4 off my font for this post just for you?
Happy?
Ok now you're talking the evolution of science. Whole different story.
I was telling this guy that today's era of boxing doesn't have as great fighters as the legend's of the past.
Who can live up to those guys. They fought in a tougher era where you had to fight more frequently for far less money.
I compared Castillo to Duran based on their styles and Corrales to Hearns based on their knockout power and their height. Simple as that.
I acknowledge that Duran and Hearns are better then Castillo and Hearns but that's as closest as it gets.
Don't complain because a fighter isn't fighting all-time greats becaus there aren't any around.
Floyd will fight the Hatton/Mosley winner so there is nothing to complain about.

They're not great fighters. They're the CURRENT best fighters in the world. They're young and they're in their prime so they're not great.
Lets see, we have the mosley/cotto winner. Good fight and I think floyd will fight the winner.
Cintron and Williams are talking about unifying, neither one is great, they just became champions. They're new faces at 147 but still the best of the division.
The winner will definitely be in the mix of things.
There is a difference between being the current best and great. Try seperate the two.
Castillo, Corrales and Delahoya are on their way out. We know their legacy's, accomplishments and we know they're great fighters. All-time greats? NO but great fighters nonetheless. Lock first ballot Hall of famers
