Barrera beating Hamed was my favorite. And anyone thinking Pac took it "easy" on Barrera last night is an idiot. It seemed to me that Manny didn't have that extra gear he usually has. Whatever. You don't "take it easy" against a world class fighter like Barrera, or your going to get KTFO.
When MAB knockdown JMM. Too bad he had to hit him when JMM was on the floor.
I think I might be with you on that one. It was like 12:30 AM and I went crazy in my living room waking up my whole family. Too bad his dirty tactics had to get ht ebest of him again.
watch tapia vs. mab...
Why don't people ever bring this one up as one of his better fights? People should watch it. Tapia was still a tough fighter, although not the same he once was.
Barrera/McKinney- first ever Boxing After Dark fight, what a start to a memorable series, what an amazing fight, definitely my favorite Barrera fight and memory.
What lesson? A lesson how to cheat? It was pacman who gave lesson to barrera, that is to being very sport for not taking advantage of barrera when barrera slip, pacman waited till barrera get on his feet. I would have saluted barrera for his career if not of that dirty tactics he did in the 11th round, what a lousy opponent and a very bad end of his career.
I loved when Barrera gave Pac-man a boxing lesson for 12 rounds.
Barrera may have been happy not to have been knocked out but there is no way a pro fighter backs off his opponent when he has him in trouble, just to be nice. It's not his job to be nice, that's the referee's job.
"We are too gentlemanly for that"
Do you realise how idiotic this sounds?
I didn't say that.
There's more than 1 way to win a fight dude.
Also did you read MAB quote? Or you want me to post it in caps.
This is what you said:
In round 12 when MAB slipped PAC could have murdered him right then and there. Out of balance, out of position and 100% open. A perfect killing target.
Yet PAC even backed-off! What honor! What a gentleman!
Just to clear that up you said that Pac could have "murdered" Barrera in round 12 but decided to be a "gentleman" and not end the fight in a KO.
You're honestly suggesting that Pacquiao deliberately took it to a points victory because he didn't want to hurt Barrera? I had heard about this legendary Pac nuthugging before but I never believed it until now.
it was not MAB who schooled PAC... it was the other way around trying to play MAB`s pace yet coz PAC knew that he can easily win the fight and besides... Manny believes always respect your elders and avoiding him beating that worse...
This has to go in the most idiotic comments thread. You're suggesting that Pacquiao went easy on him? You ruddy clown.
my favorite Marco moment was IN the Naseem Hamed fight, it wasn't tha actual fight even though this fight was good but a moment in the late rounds when Barrera grabbed up Hamed and just shoved him into the corner as if to say "try that shit now", he got a warning and the whole 9 but he put Naseem in his place, that part was memorable because you could tell he knew exactly what he was doing he just wanted to strong arm him and he made a lot of fans happy, I liked Naseem but mad heads around my way didn't so I remember talking about this fight for a long ass time.. that part and the press conference where he duffed the shit out of Morales, that shit was classic 100
it was not MAB who schooled PAC... it was the other way around trying to play MAB`s pace yet coz PAC knew that he can easily win the fight and besides... Manny believes always respect your elders and avoiding him beating that worse... ACCEPT IT BRO... it`s OVERRRRRRRRRR
Yup... Hamed Vs MAB was a great fight. Boxing lesson indeed.
MAB will be missed.
He did what he had to do yesterday to win. Survived without a beating. Money in the bank for him. One of my favorites.
MAB you're the man! Enjoy your retirement!
this thread is dedicated too MAB, post some of the amazing mab moments you remember, mines when he gave naz a boxing lesson
Agreed. I remember getting so excited while watching that fight.
