I don't even wanna think bout how crazy and twisted this board will go. People have been hating on me for making Kelly Pavlik Appreciation Threads, calling me a nuthugger. I am just really pumped and happy that Pavlik won and did it in impressive fashion. If Floyd KO/TKO's Hatton I gurantee you we will see the most ridiculous nuthugging hate threads that Boxingscene has ever witnessed. Unlike the Pavlik haters who refuse to give him props on his performance, I will man up and give Floyd mad props if he finishes Hatton because Taylor and Hatton are both Elite Grade A fighters
I could have listed that many fighters for Mayweather too. The difference is that those are mostly warm up fights for big fights. I mean, for god's sake, most of those are people he fought to get experience, like Pendleton (or was he the only title contender with 25 losses in history?).
I just named Floyd's big fights, and laid out Ricky's big fights next to it.
Floyd definately has the better resume.
Like i stated in a previous post... I wouldn't make comparison's with Hatton and Mayweather's career record, because that wasn't the point i was trying to make. Obviously, Mayweather has a better record, but my opinion was that Hatton is a very good fighter, who has fought good fighters, hence my comment in my first post... 'You don't go 43-0 unless you are a very good fighter!' And that being against a good calibre of opponents at some point along the way.
I suggest you should look back at some of your post's on this thread were you comment on 'Standards!' etc etc. There is no doubt in my mind that Hatton is a very good fighter, and again, the fight with Mayweather will prove whether or not he has the potential to become great.
First of all, every fighter's record is padded to an extent, and i wouldn't make comaprison's with Mayweather and Hatton's career records, but there is no doubt that Hatton has fought some good fighter's throughout his career...
Jon Thaxton... He was a good test for Hatton back in 2000.
Tony Pep... Rangey fighter who many thought would trouble Hatton.
Freddie Pendleton... Second Round KO.
Eamon Magee... An undoubted test at the time Hatton fought him, and a good fighter IMO.
Then there was Vince Phillips, Ben Tackie, Carlos Maussa, and Juan Urango, and those fighters have/or had the ability to trouble any opponent, and although Tszyu and Castillo were past their best IMO, there is no doubting that they were viable opponents... Hatton has proven himself a very good fighter, but obviously Mayweather will prove whether Hatton has the potential to become a great fighter.

Yes. You do.
I'll start going until I can't think of anyone who is really good.
Tszyu
Castillo
Maussa
Damnit... I'm done already.

u obvioulsy werent here for the pac nutthuggen era
that was without question the worst of times
Thats impossible. Even the mexican nuthugging cat compete with what we get now from a SMALL minority of posters. I mean, at least the mexicans and pinoy's arent nuthugging a TOTAL DOUCHEBAG!!!

And I still maintain that on may 5th, Oscar Delahoya would have beaten damn near every WW, and he would have demolished Ricky Hatton and anybody that Ricky Hatton has ever fought.
But he still would have lose to corey spinks.
Floyd is a Very arrogant , Ignorant , disrespectful , deluded person.
Most of his fan's seem to share these traits.
That says it all right there.
Any btw Dios, if the fight doesnt make the contractually obligated 8 mil for Floyd, it will come from Arum's or his organization's pocket.
Before we move on... DO THOSE QUOTES HAVE CREDIBILITY WITH YOU?
Is that "proof" on Hatton?I know one thing Dios. If you don't stop putting all my ex-girlfreands in your avatar we gonna have a problem!
As long as you tell me who the chick is right now!
Then...
Straight bet Hatton Beats Mayweather.
If Hatton loses you get em all ok?
Floyd loses you pay me the equivalent.
Deal. Her name is Angel lola luv, and she has plenty more hot pics, just you watch...
Floyd is going to get a rude awakening come Dec 8.
He won't be fighting an old man this time.
He'll be fighting a ripped strong hungry fighter in Hatton.
Hatton will chase him down and when those ribs start getting played like Elton Johns piano Mayweather will buckle like John Goodmans Crapper.
Ricky Hatton wins by KO round 7.
By the way who is that chick in your avatar.:cool2:
Let's bet all your points on the outcome of the fight? Are you down?
Read back through my posts.
READ them.
I provided you with my answer.
Jesus christ.
Refresh my memory... I didn't see you say anyone was good.
You just said that good fighters need to fight each other.
Shall I be merciful? I think not!!
-Atia (HBO's "Rome")
I will give you 24 hours from the time that Billy Graham lofts the towel for you to pay your debts and say your good-byes.
Rome is the shit!
If PBF beats Hatton i will give PBF credit. But i would somehow at the back of my mind think it was only a victory because Hatton changed the way he fought because of the things pBF has said that helped him beat Hatton and under normal circumstances Hatton would beat PBF.
ya, thats just called bias.
Also werent you one of those guys talking about how Hatton was getting into Floyds head??
:nonono:
LMFAO haha, but no let me calm down.... hatton has the biggest head i have EVER seen.... there is no way any of mayweathers punches will miss
lol, he does have a huge dome. Hatton is a crazed little lager guzzeling leprechaun for sure.
Either way Dadon, i Hope it is a good fight and the winner wins decisivly!
If that happens either way i'm happy!
Winky had not fought at 154 FOR THREE YEARS. And in May, 2007, he was in training for a fight at 170.
You are beyond biased. How was Winky the man at 154??? Help me out here.
And baldomir did not have an "ABC" belt. He had one of the few legitimate and linear belts.
EVERYBODY knows the history of that belt.
Oscar => Shane => Forrest => Mayorga => Spinks => Judah => Baldomir => Floyd.
So, baldomir was THE MAN at 147. It was not some vacant belt. It was THE RING MAG belt transferred in the ring
Saying Baldomir was the man is fuking sad. Look, you can follow the paper trail if you want Dios, I prefer to look at the talent in the division and decide based on that.
Again, Titles mean shit. I don't have the energy to go look up the who's who at 147 at the time, but i'm positive there were much better fighters out there at the time.
You know what? You win Dios. ok?
You will be my little whipping post come december. I will refer everyone to these threads when the next cherry picker gains noteriety and say" Remeber Dios"? and they will go yeah, you are right man!
That is your fate my freind. Don't make it any worse than it already is!
Hatton tko10 or sooner!
Mayweather tko 10!!
NEVA BIIIOOOOOOTTTCCCHHHH!
I would love to see judah and his crew invade the fight with steel chairs and shit WWE style.
I would pay large money to see that!
Or JOEL getting that ass beat by Emanual Steward, that would be classic aswell.
hum, what about Castllio in his prime, or Chavez, or corrales, or manfready who was considered up there at the time. Or hernadez before he moved up. I can say for sure u are a hater and after Floyd works Hatton u will still be one. As for MItchell he was a tune up for Judah, who at the time Floyd signed was a beast who everyone thought could take Floyd. I give u Brussels, Gatti, and even Corley but be real. Floyd as lots of good and great fighters on his resume and with Hatton on there it will look that much better. Peace out
Damn dude. Go back and read the thread. This is all about his resume since leaving 135. Nobady argues floyds accomplishments at 130, but floyd hasn't been at 130 in better than 5 years!!!
This is all about the 5 year spree of has beens and nobodies.
Let me say this for the millionth time. I do not argue that Floyd was undisputedly the best at 130-He proved that!
WHEN Floyd jr. demolishes Hatton I'll simply say, "I told you so", and go on about my business.. :)
Not me, but hey, I'm not into anthropology or and other ology for that matter.
How ya doing ISIS? any geopolitical debates lately? hows em hanging?
