I think it would do like 12,000 easy, considering the mini-garden holds 5,000 and sells out everytime duddy fights there.
Add the fact that around 5,000 Pavlik fans would drive/fly in from Ohio, possibly even more because he's the champ now...
I think we could expect almost 7-10 thousand Duddy fans. I mean the guy is so popular there, he sells 5,000 seats so easily.
And this is his biggest fight so all his fans would be there...
I think, if promoted correctly, it could sell out the Garden if they dont sell tickets for the bleacher portion. So it seats 17,000...
I mean, thousands of nuetral fans would come out... i think thats a possible sellout, ELECTIC environment even if it doesnt, and probable 50/50 split crowd.
The fight would be exciting, with Pavlik undoubtedly coming out on top by KO, IMO.

true but his record begs to differ and you never know how much Bonsante can really take, some guys like Tata just have good beards, he 1st lost to Kingsley Ikeke very early off points, Ikeke has a win over Antwan Echols and some other known guys so he was a good fighter who just happened to win, he lost to a journeyman as another early loss, he then went on to step up and fight better competition and lose but he took them ALL the distance including Duddy, he had a draw with Prince Badi Ajamu and he beat Tony Ayala Jr so he fought against tough opposition, Bonsante wasn't no easy to knockout guy, with all the punchers he's faced he should have been KO'ed more than just 3 times, he has a good beard yo so you really don't know how much he could take, Yory Boy is a veteran and the only knockouts he was the victim of came from big punchers who were established, he fought just about everybody, he's tough so it's no surprise that a young, inexperienced Duddy couldn't KO him, it's no wonder..
those guys could take good shots and while Duddy may not be that 1 punch KO artist he can definitely land a hard ass punch and follow threw with some hard shots too, it's not out of the question, I see everyone just disclosing Duddy as some sort or chump, people don't take into consideration his height, he is tall just like Pavlik and is a similar style fighter who pressures you into punching, anyone can land a killer punch, anyone can hurt anyone yo it's possible especially if this fight happens years from now so John can basically build properly, fight good tests but stepping stone opponents to toughen him up and Pavlik racking some defenses, it could be that big fight Arum is talking about and will definitely do good in New York, Pavlik in NY would be CRAZY.. 100
Bonsante's chin isn't that great, he was KO'd by Jesse Brinkley on The Contender, who I consider a Bum. Bonsante does have a lot of heart though.
Duddy's power is extremely OVERRATED, he couldn't even put away that bum Anthony Bonsante and he was landing consistent flush shots. Duddy does have some power, but he is nowhere near the puncher Pavlik is.

I'm just saying yo these are two earthquakes and unless you a human richter scale you can't dictate which will cause more damage, you have to understand the Duddy in my prior post at 30-35 fights which could be, 30-0, 31-0, 32-0, 33-0, 34-0 and 35-0 all of which are great records, I know he first has to make his way up there but the whole concept of a fight between these two is a big what if anyway so lets what if this, Duddy at 32-0 and Pavlik at lets say 40-0 I could see this fight being HUGE, this could be a fight of the year in ANY year it goes down regardless of who's record is what and John Duddy's brawling style will assure it, we already know what Pavlik is about so there would be no doubt on his end..
think about it John Duddy is just as big as Pavlik and hits hard like a mother fucker, he might just hurt Pavlik dogz you just never know, I seen much much worse and unlikely things go down like Tyson losing to Douglass, Duddy has a great fanbase and he can bang, a wise man once told me (I know that sounded cheesy as hell but fuck it he was old, lolz) it's those who are slept on that make you go to sleep, John Duddy is a more than capable FIGHTER who can go blow for blow with Pavlik, he has his own little techniques that could make it a good fight.. now and forever I would pick Pavlik over him but I don't count John Duddy out as formidable foe, he has knockout power and a chin to last him enough rounds to get the job done, I say Duddy is a GOOD opponent for Pavlik and a GREAT defense for the title especially if he can come to NY and give a great showing against a favorite and take him out, he would open a lot of eyes and gain even MORE respect to the public eye, Pavlik KO's him after both of them fighting the kind of fight that makes Boxing the best gladiator sport today, however Duddy is a puncher and even against another puncher you can NEVER count a puncher out, you never know what punch he will land and you never know how much it will take out of an opponent.. 100

It would sell out very quick and what an atmosphere there would be in the arena! Duddy is VERY popular,he'd carry about alot of irish fans with him,and Pavlik would have more fans then he did in the Taylor fight, shit,i think Kelly could sell it himself
It would be an entertaining fight, but i think Kelly would brutaly knockout Duddy,Duddy is a solid fighter, but i dont think he can handle a Pavlik punch
Its a fight id definatly watch,i think it would do great numbers,it would appeal to alot of fans

i think polish decent??? the frist time i heard the name pavlik , i tought he was another eastern european.
The name Pavlik is a Czech,Slovak last name I believe so he is at least part Eastern European.
Speaking of which. What the hell is Pavlik anyway?

Irish John duddy is one tough fucker, ya make it seem like he's just going to come into the ring and die, he's a better than good fighter who is still a little too young but with a few more fights under his belt he should be able to do fine against Pavlik, I think it will be a bloody, action packed fight but will end by KO and it could be either one of the 2 going down, Pavlik showed that against a hitter he can be hurt and he has a good offense himself so him getting hit is unlikely but Duddy is ALL power, 21-0, 16 KO's is a great record for an up and comer Middleweight, he beat Yory Boy Campus in a bloody war and Campus is no Pavlik, Pavlik would retire Campas probably from life let alone the ring and yes Campas gave Duddy all he can handle but Duddy did what was necessary to win against a somewhat rejuvenated, skilled veteran who used every ounce of his experience..
he showed good heart in that fight and with a few more wins like that under his belt he can make some noise, maybe against Arthur Abraham, who knows ya dig but all I'm saying is Duddy is tough in his own right, we ALL should know he is not ready for that level of opposition YET but give him his due time and you will soon see he's a best, John Duddy is 5'11 so he is also a tall fighter who can look Pavlik in his eyes, he is all raw power and can take a damn good shot, I think in a few years he will bloom enough to get in there with Pavlik and give a great attempt to dethrone him which is VERY possible given that Duddy prepares himself good coming in, he can bang and land consistantly, 3 of his last fights were by KO's and the two were against tough guys 1 including Yory Boy, he has a fight coming up against a guy named Pablo Navascues who is 23-1, 16 KO's..
I want to see how they build up Duddy but if I were his team I would wait until he hit his 30th-35th bout to step up against Pavlik, I would make him fight the Howard Eastman's and William Joppy's of the division, even give a crack at Echols just to prepare him against top challengers of the not so far behind past and then make his qualifying fight against any other top middleweight of the world, that winner could face whoever is champion at that point wether it be Pavlik or anyone else, he would have ran threw tough, durable, rough housing, veteran fighters and the young, fresh and up and coming fighters, I would throw Alan Greene in the mix, there's plenty of people he could fight but I would give him to his 30th-35th bout so he could add in good names and build a respectable enough resume to qualify him for a shot, I like John Duddy and have been watching him fight for a long time, I hope to see him do well in the future.. 100
I am a fan of Duddy and he is a tough MOFO with a ton of heart, but his heart would lead him to getting his pretty boy face destroyed and possibly suffer brain damage. For example Malignaggi's heart lead to his face getting destroyed in the Cotto fight.

Duddy needs to get a big win against a big name first.
I definitely agree with the potential sell out you're talking about though.
Not happening. He couldn't beat anyone you've heard of, so a cheap title shot like this is what his people have to look for.
Probably. But its also a business, so I'm sure Arum will look for a way to get Pavlik a couple of fights to build his fan base.
thats why he wants duddy and mora....
Yeah but I get the impression that Pavlik genuinely wants to fight the best guys

I would love this fight. It would be three rounds of chaos before Pavlik lands a straight right that changes Duddy's life. Duddy's record still looks good on paper. You can sell this fight to the casual fan, and after having to go to hell and back against Miranda and Taylor, I'm OK with Pavlik taking an easier fight for his first defense.
