Hi All,
Has anyone seen any of these fighters in action:
1) Eric "Night Train" Boose
2) Shane Andreesen
3) J D Chapman
4) Travis Walker
All of these fighters are heavyweights that are looking to
move up the rankings.
If you consider the former USBA Heavyweight, Former WBE Continental Americas Super Heavyweight Champion Tye Fields as a prospect rather than the elite fighter many believe him to be, youve got to mention him.
Tye fields is neither a contender or a prospect.. he's a sideshow and a can with a padded record.
Kevin Johnson (http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=173416&cat=boxer) is a good prospect.. currently 16-0-1, with the draw coming in just his fourth fight, against Timur Ibragimov, who was already 14-0 at the time! And the guy doesnt even have a good amateur background, but has been matched up very tough as a pro with the philosophy that he needed to quickly make up for his lack of amateur experience in his early pro fights (Apparently, it's worked). This was according to a press release by his team which I read on this site.
Early to tell perhaps but heres another:
Derrick Rossy

Only loss was a tko loss to Eddie Chambers. Eddie said it was his toughest fight.
no way.. rossy is a journeyman at best, played football at boston college, tough guy but very limited as a fighter. chambers whooped his ass if what he said is true he hasnt had any real tough fights

Last fight, KO'd in 3 a 26-1 Thomas Haye's (had fought only cans except for holding 1 first round KO over Chris Koval).
He's slated to face a 14-0-1 Nigerian named Teke Oruh in his next fight on 11/16.
I to have only seen that fight you said, as far as I recall.. was hard to tell how good he was off of that.. I agree he seemed slow but powerful. Not sure about his defense and technique so much.
Thanks Baserocks.
I don't know Oruh either. But I'll check...Thanks again for the link and all!
I haven't seen enough of Arreola to have any strong opinions about him. The fight I can quickly recall having seen him was on ESPN over a year ago which was very short (first round stoppage).
A friend of mine has been following his career somewhat, and told me Arreola has been racking up wins and remains undefeated. My friend also told me Arreola appeared in the undercard of Mayweather- Baldomir. Knocked out his opponent, he said. But, I can't remember...
Anyway, you should know Arreola better. He fights out of California, I understand.

Arreola is alright but has no speed real slow power puncher (kind of like all hw's) then Witherspoon didn't look to good on his last fight on ESPN. Chambers and Povetkin are getting their big debut in the IBF tournie, we can see how they do.I haven't seen enough of Arreola to have any strong opinions about him. Chazz Witherspoon is going to drown out the HW division with his drool when he fights. For gods sake this guy needs to learn how to keep his saliva in his mouth.

The Cuban defector, Solis, is one to watch. Chapman is bum material, to be sure, but he is young and has a good trainer in Mayweather (dont remember his first name but the one who isnt Floyd Sr. or Roger, lol) so I suppose you never know.. though, yeah, hes pretty much a bum.
come the olympics next year you guys are gonna be plensently surprised.17 year old prospect from pr who will definitely makes forget about john ruiz.i haven't seen much of him but i hear he's pretty good.http://www.primerahora.com/noticia/boxeo/accion_deportiva/tapia_suma_calibre_al_boxeo_aficionado/108224
» Primera Hora if you can't read spanish it just says he's just turned seventeen, showing the gold medal he won at the juvenile championships in russia, and that he is preparing for next year's olympics.
Saw Travis Walker live at Club Europe in Atlanta against Mike Middleton. Middleton was over matched and ko'd in 30 seconds. Walker is not a prospect, he has only fought 2 okay fighters. JD Chapman is a bitch, Mike Marrone is a bitch, Hell Kevin Johnson, Chazz Witherspoon and Malik Scott would ko all 3 of those punks
I agree this happens to be true at the moment. But if you make it a constant war of race and geography, no one will ever listen. Just focus on the individuals, and no unbiased observer could possibly rate an American prospect (AT THE MOMENT) above someone like Boytsov.
Don't forget David Haye kayjay. I know your a big fan of the 'Hayemaker'.
Alonzo Butler
With the right training, I think that Butler could move up the ranks.
He has a stiff jab and a powerful right cross. Very strong fighter!!!

I saw JD Chapman fight on the Fight Network recently and he is a legitimate BUM, he is no better than Tye Fields. All of the Best Heavyweight Prospects are from Eastern Europe.

i agree i laugh my ass off everytime someone mentions chapman, there are at least 10 guys who have better futures from the US alone
and probably 20 more in europe....
i cant wait for chapman to land it a serious fight so i can bet on him to get knocked out
