Why Boxing NEEDS Him?

EASY! Easy.. Floyd hasn't proven he can do numbers with a nobody at this stage. He's not Elvis yet. The jury is still OUT. Floyd holds P4P #1 status. It's a valuable title. I will say again this is the point of intrigue for non Boxing fans or fans on the fence. "Best fighter in the world" is what has people curious. NOT Floyd himself. Not yet.

The leading man in boxing today is without a shadow of a doubt Floyd Mayweather Jr. You can argue with greatest of boxings most influential figures; from The Lay boxing fans, Die-hards, Critics, reporters, media outlets even the haters must pay attention. It is what it is. Floyd is what boxing needs just because of all the attention he brings to boxing. They are in the news and ESPN because of Floyd, however new fighters will come up and take the baton when the time comes, and they will help keep boxing going. My point, Exactly! This is in regards to recognition on a Global Scale which ultimately influences Monetary gain. The picture is much bigger than Mayweather, but it's a damn good start to a "suggested" dying sport.

If floyd wasn't around then the next talented fighter would be regarded in the same wa it is its just what happens hes not the be all and end all, but i agree he is good for boxing.

Then he could be considered the #1 P4P of all time. But that's as long as he keeps whoopin the top fighters. Only time will tell.
