He was Middleweight champion of the world but he never really looked convincing wearing the belts.
BUT HE WAS IT DOESN'T MATTER AND KELLY HAS POTENTIAL TO BE ALL TIME GREAT.HE'S 25.
WAS JERMAINE NOT ON THE LIST WAS HE NOT MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD?
He was Middleweight champion of the world but he never really looked convincing wearing the belts.
People talk about "P4P" (a hypothetical concept at best anyway) as if it's all about who can knock the fuck out of each other.
It used to be about skills, of which Pav showed little tonight. And I say that as a Pavlik fan.WAS JERMAINE NOT ON THE LIST WAS HE NOT MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD?
You got a point.
Alot of people just look at the KO and figure, "Well. He blew the guy out of the water."
It was a close fight and the KO can be a bit deceptive.
I think he's definitely a force in the middleweight division and he's in the top 5 or 6 p4p.
I still think it is way too premature to throw Pavlik into any P4P list...but oh well...they are subjective and mythical
Guys don't forget that P4P was invented to show who might beat who regardless of weight class. Not just "did you win your last fight"
Taylor wasn't in the Ring's p4p list, and I doubt Pavlik will be either. Let's face it Pavlik's size has been a factor in his success. If size were not a factor Pavlik wouldn't be a top ten fighter. Though he is a good middleweight.
People are too quick to jump to this stuff...
I would never have argued Taylor in the top 10 as he did beat the man who was considered #1, drew with a guy considered top 3 p4p (both future HOFers), and defended vs a jr mw champ, and tough Ouma...
Pavlik mad great strides with Miranda and Taylor...but give him a couple more high caliber defenses
hermaine wasnt on the top 10 and pavlick isnt either
YOUR A FOOL THE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD NOT IN THE TOP TEN P4P LIST.:nonono: I DON'T KNOW ABOUT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE BUT TAYLOR'S OFF.
