To celebrate their first co-promotion in nearly three years, Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum will present six-division world champion Oscar de la Hoya with the 1992 Olympic gold medal De La Hoya won in Barcelona, Spain. Arum, who received the medal from De La Hoya on his 65th birthday, will return the medal to De La Hoya during a special lunch ceremony on Monday. De la Hoya, will then put the medal on display at White Memorial Medical Center in the Cecilia Gonzalez de la Hoya Cancer Center as a special tribute to his mother who was the inspiration for his gold medal victory.

Why did he get it to him in the first place? That should of defiantly went to his mom first.Now his mom is getting sloppy medal seconds.:nonono:
Moms died before Oscar won the medal.
Giving the medal to Arum was a gesture of gratitude for helping Oscar reach the top of the sport.
Now, it will be on display at a site dedicated to his mom.
So, it's made its journey full circle, is how I see it.
Would guess there might be a movie in the works sometime in the future.
