:boxing: Kessler is by far Calzaghe’s toughest challenger. Despite the fact that Calzaghe went into his bout against Lacy as an underdog, die hard fans and critics and media knew that the champion would dissect the challenger. Kessler is a fighter of a different caliber. The man can fight and Calzaghe knows it. Kessler presents an arsenal of talent, which is why he remains as the long time pound for pound competitor. He’s big, technically sound, hits with brute force demonstrating sledge hammer-like fists. :smashfrea
This is stupid. An orthodox jab (especially a pistol one) will often be used against a southpaw, in order to settle for other punches when the southpaw tries to get in. In other words it is usually displayed as bait, because the southpaw will fell safe to move when he has evaded the jab.
The fight will explode in the 9- 10'th round.
A counter cross, a left hook - goodnight Joe Calzaghe.
Well said. a good right is the perfect counter for a southpaw
Kessler isn't an infighter and is fighting a southpaw so he cant jab him or he will get countered easily by Calzaghe. It's that simple boys. Put your money on Calzaghe.

Why does everyone on this forum have to hate on each others boxers. Why can't people admit that Joe Calzaghe and Mikkel Kessler are both great fighters. And who ever wins, earned it.
I agree with you 100%.
Calzaghe sent Lacy to a lifetime of flipping burgers and anti-epilepsy tablets. This will be his legacy.
"More pickles in there Jeff. More pickles. And stop drooling on your uniform."
I imagine if you even say the word 'Calzaghe' in Lacy's presence he immediately drops to the floor and starts fitting. I hope to test this theory next time I go to Burger King in Lacy's hometwon.
I wish gods plan for you included cancelling your membership to this board, I have seen you post nothing but insults so far.
Im no Calzaghe fan, but hes going to whup Kessler.
Kessler in nothing special.
Oh yeah - forgot for a moment you're comparing to the great Carl Froch.
Obviously neither Kessler or Calzaghe can be viewed as anything special with him in mind.
So many great things come to mind when you think about Froch. Foremost on my mind is the great patience with which he has advanced his career ;-D
Yeah he should put tacets on his feet and dance around, avoid contact and pot shot his way to descision victories like Floyd Mayweather. do a shuffle every now and then or a krunk shouler roll to be stylin for the fans.
lol...nice! If I had good K to give, it would be yours my man, but alas I don't. :-P

Kessler only need 3 or 4 rounds,it is enough for "the viking warrior", the slapper will most likely be in a coma by then. It will be the last time we see Joe in a ring, and Kessler will move on to bigger and better things  :headbang: :buttkick:
Ahhh Jeff Lacy..
The man who's lights were put out by Brian Magee as an amateur in the late 90's.
The man who was trailing behind on points and being soundly-outboxed by Syd Vanderpool until he found a lucky punch to stop him.
Took the full 12 by Richard 'the Alien' Grant(whom Andrade KO in round 1)
Lacy ain't so great
Pound for pound the most robotic fighter since Ivan Drago

i expected calzaghe to give lacy a boxing lesson as you say most knowelable fans knew lacy was over hyped but being welsh i am worried about kessler he`s in his prime and is a good strong fighter. joe is now 35 will he be able to produce the goods against kessler this fight is a difficult one to call.
