Any ideas?
I don't know a fuck ton of them, but David Reid comes to mind.
If Jeff Lacy doesn't come back from the Calzaghe loss, he could be up there too.
Ray Mercer wasn't that good but he wasn't bad either, there have been worse.

A lot of guys on those teams didn't live up to expectations.

he was getting his ass kicked. he hit the cuban with a lucky shot. one punch shot. i call it lucky but whatever.
nice talkin' to ya.
Ya...i'll have to see it again. Last time I saw it was when it happened.
Aight b...later.
Ya I remember that...but lets not take nothing away from the Cubans. No secret they had advantages against us. Men vs. boys and then some.
I'll tell you one thing though...getting a KO vs a Cuban in the olympics isnt really that lucky.
David couldn't see because of the eyelid. He was advised to move his career on really quickly.
And no worries. Whenever I see an av with Floyd Mayweather in it I get a little ornery. I apologize.
Here's a pic of the eye:

O' I knew about that then. The camps said it was as bad as it would get. I followed him from the Am's. The punch that finished his career was seen by David cuz it was Titos left hook to Davids good side.
They said time and time again it wasnt that he couldnt see. Man this is going back to the dark ages for me. Hard to retrieve that data note for note.
He looks like a fucking tautog fish in that pic...lol. Poor guy.
Who is more talented: Dante Craig.. or Zaheeeeer Rahiiiiiim?
Thread Closed
Is that the question?
I thought the question was who was the most dissapointing Olympian.
Not who was the most talented Olympian that dissapointed.
His eye was consistently getting worse. They basically had no choice. But wahtever.
Maybe it was...I'm not his brother or anything. Just goin on what I heard @ the time. Initially they said it couldnt get worse cuz it didnt work like that.
That was like more than 10 years ago too.
Whats your source for his eye getting "worse?" Mayhap your right. Just dont come off like a dick trying to say I dont know boxing. Got over 1000 in the archive and fought ams, sparred w/champs. I take it as insult.
They really didn't have a choice. But you didn't know that because you dont know much about boxing.
Look up David Reid and his eye problem. Thanks :)
Bro, I been watching boxing for 31 years. I knew about his eye and his camp said his eye was fine. They could get corrective surgery to fix it but he'd have to quit the game.
Every time someone gets put in for a big title shot @ 14-0 the career shits the bed. Same thing w/Vargas...brought him up too fast.
They could have fed him smaller guys and wait for the big show. Wasnt a good choice now was it? David isnt doin too well financially I hear.
Any ideas?

Funny thats exactly who I was gonna say when I read the thread name. In all honesty Tito ruined his career. Reids handlers never should have let that happen.
Andre Ward isn't too much of a dissapointment. He hasn't fought much agreed but he's helping train teenagers in Oakland but now he's been fighting. In St. Lucia he's fighting an undefeated guy should be a good fight.
Is there anything that clowns the poster more than "end of thread" or "thread closed" and then people just keep posting? Extreme self pwnage.
That is a signal that what you said wasn't all that "definitive" as you thought it was.
Yeah.
Coming from the guy who said "Zaheer" Raheems career has been MORE OF A dissapointment then Dante Craig.
Thank you for enlighting me.
I didn't know that having a major 135 pound title strap was less of an accomplishment than being 17-7 and being a borderline journeyman.
Don't forget Dante Craig 17 wins 7 losses and 1 draw
End of thread.
They are actually alot of olympians who never even make it onto television so for someone to say that David Reid and Zahir Raheem are most "dissapointing" is ridicolous. They've accomplished alot in boxing and have been displayed on the big stage.
Being an Olympian no longer means guaranteed world champion if it ever did at all.
