Responding to Mayweather referring to the fact he's been a world champion for nine years while Hatton has for less than two and a half...
Floyd must be forgetting that I was fighting the Freddie Pendleton's and Vince Phillips's in my early 20's, on American TV. And dominating them at that.
Our only common opponents are Tony Pep and Jose Luis Castillo. They took Floyd the distance and gave him good workouts. I blew them away with body shots.
The only man on Floyd's resume to compare with Kostya Tszyu is Oscar, and we all saw what happened there.
He's plucking at straws, really. I've proven myself big time and I want more.
He was responding to Mayweather suggesting Hatton was nothingness in the years he was a young, hot world champ
But Hatton was always seen as perhaps boxing's greatest prospect years before he even turned pro

Anyways..
Hatton is toast and his feigned confidence will only lead him to disaster. He needs to stay humble and take his beating like a man, instead of ranting in the media about how much he's not affected and who he's fought at what time in their career..
we will find out dec 8th
floyds also been trained since birth... i think floyds gonna be shocked this time he still might win but it wont be easy
Agreed.
Mayweather should win because of his superior fighting skills, but Hatton isn't going to be a push over. Defenilty Mayweathers toughest opponent so far IMO.
Genius...I was talking about Floyd.
Well thanks for getting off-topic then. I was talking about Floyd's style changing. Which is actually what you first quoted on this thread.
I see where Floyd is coming from, Hatton did take a bit longer to get where he is. But that doesn't matter at all really.

Hatton says: "Floyd must be forgetting that I was fighting the Freddie Pendleton's and Vince Phillips's in my early 20's"
Freddie Pendleton: 47-25-5, 38 years old.
Vince Phillips: 44-7-1, 40 years old
RICKY HATTON IS A FUCKIN' JOKE.
For a young British kid it was considered ridiculous to be blowing away (with great technical skill) and beating up (with every shot in the book) fighters of that pedigree, guys who had been in with everyone and anyone
Im not so sure. The only evidence I see from N'dou's record is he is a big puncher. That's all I know about him.
As for Floyd? I just tire of him and his idolaters telling me he's the 2nd coming of Robinson. I'd say more like Roy's little brother wannabe would be more appropriatet. Nothing wrong with Roy, but, like Floyd, he started to let his fans down with he ring selections and got shot overnight.
Roberto Apodaca ended up 0-4
Tony Duran ended up 13-26
Are they really better than N'dou?
No one is calling N'dou a world beater, but still... his style changed.
Floyd has much better technical skills, meaning that when he loses a step, he is not guaranteed to be done with his career. That's the differenec between him and Roy.
But that is against N'dou, man. Phillip N'dou. If it was Lovermore then i would give him a hell of alot of respect.
Dude, he didn't really stand toe-to-toe with anyone, until Jesus Chavez. I can guarantee you that N'dou is a hell of a lot better than Roberto Apodaca, or Tony Duran.
I'm just saying, the difference is there.
in 2 of hattons last 3 fights he looked like shit... then he fought someone some much older who moved up in weight... i'm not say hatton doesn't have a chance but that is cause slim will be in town but around the 5th he will get up and leave the building
Hatton is an idiot.. Floyd beat a PRIME Castillo and who is Tony Pep? Mayweather fought him so early in his career. I won't even comment of this:
The only man on Floyd's resume to compare with Kostya Tszyu is Oscar, and we all saw what happened there.
^^Floyd has fought entirely better competition and has accomplished way more Ricky; stop lying to your self in trying to simplify and cherry pick, in effect, exalting your status to where it shouldn't be.
We will no longer suffer you ISIS. You are a biased nuthugger. You and Dios are the two worst cockholders on here. To say Floyd has fought WAY BETTER COMPETITION is just another ignorant misstep in your thought process.
Go write a wikipedia article recounting the black mans plight for acknowledgment in ancient Babylonia or something, and stop twisting shit because you hate white men!
Eh whatever. You're wrong but I dont feel like debating for the next hour.
Let's call it a draw.
You really don't see a difference in the way he fights? He never would have banged with N'dou under his father, ever.
Evidence???
Just watch his fucking fights. I don't know how I am supposed to put what you want into words.
The Emanuel Burton fight was his first under Roger. That is where it starts.
Genaro Hernandez vs. Jesus Chavez is a good one to compare.
I personally think Tony Pep is Mayweather's best performance as a fighter. That fight embodies everything that Floyd is as a fighter. He worked his defense, he worked his offense, he pressured, he ran, he flurried. When he got hit he came back guns blazing, Barrera style.
If you want to study Floyd Mayweather, watch the Tony Pep fight. The Mayweather that fought Pep was unbeatable.
Well... you shouldn't watch that fight if you want to study what Mayweather looks like now.
That was when he was still fighting under his defensive minded daddy.
Now he fights differently because Roger stresses offense more, and that is what Floyd does (when he isn't outweight by 20 pounds on fight night).
Hatton didn't get enough decent fights because:
A) He didn't want fight anyone outside of England (Frank Warren's to blame for that).
B) Nobody wanted to fight Hatton in England.
He is the one that said his resume was just as good or he fought very good fighters, not us, HIM.
