Let's be honest here, Ricky is making a response to those guys who are saying "Ricky has no chance" or even better, guys saying "Ricky knows he can't beat Floyd, he knows he's going to lose" (can't think of anyone round here who would say such a thing ;) ) so what he's doing is selling the fight. He didn't have to say "I'm convinced I'm going to beat Vince Phillips" because nobody was interested in convincing him that he couldn't. Hatton is up against it in this one, just as he was against Tszyu, and his comments reflect that.
All three of those guys have faster hands than Hatton, but faster feet? I think you must have misunderstood my comments. Hatton is never going to look like the fleet-footed boxer, but watch him when he shifts his angles, see how fast he does that. Watch how fast he closes down that last yard of distance. Watch when he throws his combinations then steps to the side and throws again. His feet are as fast as Malignaggi and Judah, probably faster than Mayweather's, but he doesn't use his footspeed in the same way.
no... just no...
Hatton has a good chance as any in this fight and me more than anyone would love for him to pull it off but i just dont see hatton winning this one(IT PAINS ME TO SAY THIS LOL!!).
Mayweather on points i think the son of a bitch!! excuse the language
Wiley,
Sometimes, you do NOT look at things objectively, Here is an example:
Look at the name of this thread. Is that a wild exaggeration by Hatton? Of course it is. The guy fought Ray Oliveira and 25 loss Freddie Pendleton. But he is more certain of beating Floyd than he was of beating those guys?
Ricky is more certain of beating Foyd than he was of 40 year old Vince Phillips?
How is Hatton's statement any different than PBF calling Ricky "easy work" or "a bum"?
But you would never say "Damn, Rick. That's a crazy statement".

Hatton has faster feet than Mayweather? Than Judah? Than Malignaggi?
LMAO.

Hi, This post of mine is very beneficial and informative, however there are some specific facts or information that I require. If anyone can help me in this matter then please send me a private message. Best Regards,

I think people are just blowing this up like Hatton actually has a chance to beat PBF. I wont be suprised if PBF starts sitting down on his punches in the 2nd half of the fight and puts Hatton to sleep.
Dios isn't as irrational as some might think. He tends to do things just to get to Hattonnets , and unlike Hatton, these fans can't help but respond. Most of the time he is serious and other times he is just getting under your/their skin. Maybe you guys should take the Hatton route and leave it alone?
I don't even know if it is that... I think he specializes in putting people into double bind's with their arguments, which tends to infuriate people, and he does it in pointed language, like "he actually mentioned VINCE PHILLIPS as a good win?" And that tends to really piss people off. However, I don't think any of this is nearly as bad as all the people who call others ***gots and other stuff like that.

No...Dios wants an argument. Yes, he's capable of being insightful, otherwise I wouldn't waste my time. But, as to Floyd, you know that he can be so trivial and inconsistent. A rational and justified opinion can be informative, especially if it's an opinion that contradicts your own. But sometimes, propaganda deserves a harsh response.
Understood, but some of these people, Dios for instance, are so irrational that their opinions are just shit because they are forced and biased and presented without logical justification ("propaganda"). Calling these people out is not hypocritical, it's the right thing to do, assuming one has the time and wherewithall to do it). I always back up my conclusions with logic and reasoning (don't recant on this now, because you've already admitted as much).

You have budd, I will commend you for putting up the points on your fighters, in some ways that shows that you truly believe in what you are saying. I am not saying your beliefs are hypocritical I am saying that your beliefs hold as much weight as anyone else's so to say they are blindly following someone is hypocritical because you will state your beliefs in why a fighter is good just like I will. I am young and LEGAL but I would consider a pretty knowledgable boxing fan who will back up what he says (how can you say I don't back up what I say when I have done it on numerous occassions) and put his points where his mouth is if need be. If Hatton wins the bout I will give him all the credit in the world, however I will still be a Floyd fan because I support my fighters win or lose, that is what a fan does.

That's not "blind", that's my opinion, and it's not "hypocritical" either.
And, all you've done is wager, and never opened your mouth? That's crap. You're all over anybody who has the audacity to criticize Floyd. You troll these threads as if you're on Mayweather's payroll. Maybe not as bad as Dios, who is basically deranged (like that woman crying all over TV about the media's "abuse" of Brittany Spears), but surely just as dedicated.
What are you going to do when Hatton wins this bout? Are you going to still be the same ol (well..young) Skills? lol And don't say I haven't put my money where my mouth is because I have.

Nothing I have said can categorize me as a "blindly devoted Mayweather fan" all I have done is wager on who would win the fight with anyone willing to man up and take the bet, haven't you done the same. What is "blind" is you saying that Hatton and Mayweather's resumes were equal because of two fighters.

Thanks for making me famous, Skils. But, you of all people don't need to be calling anybody a hypocrite. lol You obviously don't understand the meaning of the word.
That's a very typical attack by a blindly devoted Mayweather fan. Can't argue the point, so call them names. Pathetic.

Racial stuff goes over my head. I havent got anything against any race as you might see with my signature.
In my posts i will never mention race at all. Ive no time for it.
Under the heaven, under the stars we are but one family. Its just people are different.
from my observations, it has been "the white contingent" that is responsible for the racist comments on the YT videos.
Disclaimer: With the stance that Floyd chose, and his aggressive behaviour, he made himself a lightning rod for criticism and insults.
But it need not be racial.
I don't look at that crap, so I don't have any idea who might be responsible. But, we finally agree on something..."it need not be racial." The race card is no argument, that's just plain ignorance.
I wouldn't.
But moving on Hatton is getting more credit for fleet feet than is reasonable. He was remarkably flat footed against Collazo. And look at Ricky's face post fight. Everything Collazo does Floyd does a bout a zillion times better.
You must swing the other way.
would you really?

Yea as opposed to the british hatton fans who get all racist on youtube everytime somebody predicts him to lose.
Haven't seen that, but I'm sure there are extremists on both sides.

Those are White Americans too..
I've seen those:
"Somebody needs to shut this ni99er up! Go Hatton!"
Disgusting shit on youtube. Racism is RAMPANT and they do nothing.
You can say ANYTHING you want on youtube - but no titties??? :purity:
