"Manny Pacquiao has been an ugly painful thorn in my side for nearly four years," said a determined Marco Antonio Barrera from his secluded high altitude training camp in Mexico. "There hasn't been a day since our first fight that I haven't thought of Pacquiao and what I would do to him if we ever fought again. These past four years have been torture for me as Pacquiao has done everything he could to avoid me. But once we signed the contracts to fight, I have done nothing else but eat, drink and dream of Manny Pacquiao. Throughout this training camp Manny Pacquiao has been the only thing I've thought of, morning, noon and night. I have never been so focused on an opponent in my entire career. I have poured everything I have into this training camp and there isn't a thing Manny Pacquiao or his trainer Freddie Roach can do to escape my fury on October 6."
In the words of Poison "Every rose has its Thorn." I hate to tell Marco but that thorn will continue to be there after October 6,2007. Manny is going to go in there like a raging bull and the only opportunity Marco has is to avoid the bull like a Matador would but like many Matadors Marco will get the horns! Pacman is one bull that has yet to be tamed!
I hope it ends early for Barrera. Less damage. I like the guy but Pac hits much harder at 130 than at 126. Barrera might eek out a boring split decision win if he's able to shoot and run or Pac walks him down with relentless punishment into a one sided beat down.
Pacquiao will only look like the bad guy in this match.
I keep hearing this about Barrera, that is is ultra-focused and dying to get even with Pac.
While it makes it seem like it will be a more competitive fight, I still think Pac stops Barrera again, but I do think it's going to be back-and-forth, at least early, before Pac just wears Marco down. Great fight though, and I will be rooting for Barrera just because of his underdog status.
i like Barrera but i wouldnt think Pacman is avoiding him. Pacman destroyed him in the first fight, so i would think Pacman might not want to fight him again as he beat him convincinly already. And if Pac was avoiding him, it is NOT avoiding him in the way Barrera is trying to make out, as if Pac is scared of him or something.
I would think Barrera would be scared to get a beating again and stay well away from Pac.
this is exactly why i will never like barrera, fucking hypocrite says pac has avoided him for 4 years even though he's the one who has avoided pac.... until now, just cause he wants to retire with a big pay check....
wats the undercard for this PPV?
and have they decided the undercard for Hatton/Mayweather yet?
I love it when theres good undercards
I agree they better not mess up the undercard like they did for "The World Awaits". If he thinks pac is a thorn now, I guess after pac tears him up he will ALWAYS be a thorn in his side.
