Anyone else notice the ref covering mic in Cotto-Judah?

the ref was kinda being a jerk to zab the whole night i was very surprised how he was urging zab to shake off the low blow rather than reassure hiim that he had a full 5 mins to recover, im not saying this had any difference on the outcome i just think he decided before the fight to be stern with zab because of zabs history.

If you think BOTH shots were intentional, you have to assume he's willing to risk DQ because they were close, in relation to the fight. Atleast ONE had to be accidental. Or, does he just cheat so well, that he got away with it in front of almost everyone, except you?

LOL the lowblows weren't intentional...people are still on this shit? Do you really think the lowblows made a difference? How come they didn't stop Corrales from coming back and beating Castillo in their first fight? I'm sure there are hundreds of fights you can list from guys that got hit low and won, instead of getting hit low and losing. That's why no boxer ever really blames himself losing on lowblows, because it would look stupid. Zab almost did it in the post fight interview but held back.

And how does fighting at the Garden affect a rematch between the two? Judah is from NY and has a huge fan base there as well. You can make the argument that Judah is actually the protected fighter. Every step up he has taken has resulted in him losing. Even the Spinks fight that he won, he was near losing. I'm sick of kids who come in after their guy gets their ass handed to them and say 'In a rematch, he'll make him look silly'. If he were anything, he woulda done it in the actual fight.

I think both low blows were intentional, but that stuff happens from time to time. Tell me why teh 2nd one was? What was the reason given for him to throw it low? Also, did you even watch the fight? Watch the slow motion replay. Zab sees the hook coming, turns his body slightly and moves upwards to make sure it would be low. Cotto had no intentions on that.

Yo when you write use periods and commas man. That shit is stupid. Judah had plenty of times to finish Cotto. What happened though? Judah hurt Cotto, then Cotto was dodging punches. A rematch won't happen, and if it did I think the fight would end faster than the first. Those shots weren't intentional. Watch the fight again. The first wasn't.. The second I don't know. There was no reason at all for the 2nd. He never was hurt by Judah, just pressing forward. As he unleashed a hook, Judah did a quick jump back and what would have been a nice body shot right on the belt line area, became lower. I think it just helped Judah fans have something to believe in and that he wasn't totally overpowered by Cotto and dominated.

LoL. I think he was just saying that because he didn't want Zab to knock him out for stopping the fight like he almost did to Jay Nadie in the Kostya Tszyu fight. If you see, Zab gives him a light body shot for stopping the fight. I think he would have put more power in the body shot if the ref didn't say how much he loved him. That sort of calmed Zab down like a crying baby sucking on a bottle of milk :bottle:

After the 2nd low blow the referee keeps talking some shit to Judah about shaking it off. He keeps covering his mic with his hand as if he doesn't want us to know what he's saying. Looks shady but whatever. Also to add, Cotto's shots were completely unintentional. After rewatching it, the 1st lowblow, Cotto was completely pressing forward after being hit by those shots. There was no reason to believe he was dazed or hurt bad by the way he kept coming forward throwing hooks and not even to the lower body just yet. Then the shot came accidently. On the 2nd one, Judah jumped in the air and that's when Cotto caught him. There was no reason for the 2nd one because he wasn't hurt, further proof that Judah was doing anything possible to stop Cotto from throwing body shots. It's clear as day that he was pulling Cotto's head down. Judah did it in his last fight and Vasquez hit him low.
