<why so much hate towards Trinidad>

I actually like Tito a lot, i hate some of his fans though, and i sure as hell will act like a hater if someone says he is in the level of Oscar De La Hoya

man im sort of worried how the weight will affect him against roy?.....170 is high for the natural jr middle....

He lost two fights at the end of his career against guys bigger than him. Whitaker did that and he's a hero, Tito however was 'exposed'. Good thread; Tito's fine with me whitakers losses were controversial, his last loss was after a drug problem. i believe if whitaker was 100% and boxed he would of schooled him worse than oscar b-hop and winky

FYI the hand wrap thing was started by B-hop, and it stuck around. one of chavez opp started the he only fights cab drivers rumor, after chavez Knocked him out he said "so they were pretty thaugh cab drivers"

yeah he lost to 2 boxers that decided to stand toe to toe and outbox his ass.....oscar did not win......no one should EVER win backpedaling in the biggest fight of their life.....dead subject anyways but i know most in here hate him because he got the nod in that fight and rightfully so IMO....... backpedaled for 2 rounds were he should of had already 7 in the bag, and tito at the time didnt have a KO past the 6th so to say oscar had to worry about being KO is dumb. but its dead... the problem with tito is that he can only look good against boxers who trade with him. true followers of the sport like to see good punching (witch tito had) good foot work, great defense, and ring smarts. i do love the fact that he didn't run from anybody, and his losses came to guys who were strong or tactical better and avoided fighters. the low blows that he used when things got hard and the early round knockdowns didnt help either

I doubt he cheated. Certain people just pack a punch, and certain OTHER people are just haters. I enjoyed his career.

Everyone hates him because he defiled this wonderful sport with his cheating. They don't call him Cheato Triniwraps for nothing. Even though there is no proof of his cheating that is one hilarious nickname. Personally I think Trinidad was great for the sport and I respct all his accomplishments. Even though it's obvious he might just be coming back to get his ass kicked for 10 mil+..

to be honest.. tito is not a great boxer.. thats the truth.. he was a great fighter with a punch.. i do think that the wrapping was ehh.. i dunno..mixed feelings.. but his fans made him seem better than he really was.. no hate, just the truth.. everytime he fought a boxer, he lost including dlh. cotto is a better fighter imo than tito. but his fans are pissing me off man.. too much of this puerto rican dick riding.. its gotta stop man.. i mean i kno u root for ur nationality but some ppl are over the top and take it too far..

Anybody that is good will have haters. Just like there are many here that dont like Duran, Cotto, etc.. Good fighters but people will swear they suck. I dont like Mayweather, but I'll admit hes good.

well he didn't lose until late in his career and needed a break....the 2nd retirement was a bit odd because we all knew no way he would go out like that......

i wonder why so many boxing "fans" here hate and bash tito all the time.....this man always signed to face the best....of course he was not the perfect boxer/fighter but with his potent left hook he made the most of what he had with his will and desire to win.....many of u love the hopkins-tito fight just for the fact that he was schooled and stopped late but in that fight i gained even more respect for him....never stopped punching...never backed down....even praised hop after the fight.....same thing with winky....i always knew that was a bad fight for him but winky was a p4p fighter then and tito of course looking for a challenge went for it.....now his fight against roy looms and im hopeful this is going to be my 1st trip to NYC just to make sure i catch and witness live the atmosphere of a Trinidad fight....im probably the only mexican backing tito but i hope he manages to add one more big win before he calls it a career and it to be roy jones would be awesome...... anyways im just curious as to why so many of u in here hate this man?....i know most mexicans hate him because he made oscar run as does ALL my family....because of the handwrap allegations....because he destroyed the careers of vargas & reid?..... I think its because he retired after every loss. Nevertheless, I do respect him as a fighter, he did take on the best.
