If Mosley Can KTFO of Vargas Why Not Cotto?

This thread is pretty Ironic to me because I was talking about the exact same thing at work today with my buddy who is Puerto Rican. He is a huge fan of Cotto, but he is really worried about this fight because of Cotto's suspect chin. He also feels that Cotto is nothing compared to Felix Trinidad, and I agree with him. Me and your friend think alike. Cause that's exactly how im thinking of it also. It's a hard fight for both. A hard fight for anyone when you in the ring with Miguel Cotto.

Tito didn't ruin Vargas, He was still fighting in good shape when he fought Oscar. I think it was a combination of both.. I don't like Vargas, but y'all Tito fan boys who say, "Vargas who?" Should shut that shit up cus if it wasn't for Tito taping his ball sack so much the fight could have went differently. Now on the Shane Mosley vs Miguel Cotto fight, Its real tough to tell who is gonna win. Mosley has never been knocked out though and has a sturdy chin (he can go blow for blow with De La Hoya what makes you think he wont be able to with Cotto?). He also has some power 44 wins (37 KOs) You don't get a record like that being feather fisted. The real deciding factor I think will be A) How will Cotto do againt a fighter who is wayy more experienced. and B) How will Cotto take Mosley's punches and how good will he block them. I have not picked a favorite on the fight and I go back and forth on who is gonna win. They are both great athletes though and not only awesome fighters but awesome people. This right here has the potential to be fight of the century though.

judah could of koed him in the 1st rd if he hadnt f***** around Coulda, woulda,shoulda. The point is he didn't, and you can't say he coulda. A lot of things coulda gone differently, but they didn't.

Mosley only knocked Vargas out because he knocked anything Vargas had left out of him in the first fight, and by the 2nd fight Vargas was DONE, FINISHED, As shot as anybody in the sport. More so than Morales and maybe eve Gatti. Morales is even more shot than Gatti, it tells you how good he was in his prime that even a shot as all hell Morales could outbox Diaz.........I believe he has been on decline since the first Barrera fight, more noticeable since the Guty Espadas fight...

Shane's "power"? I've never been impressed with Mosely's power. Cotto's going to win this fight. I agree Shane didn't carry devistating power to welter even in his prime. The factor was that he was so fast, and still is but I don't think he is as quick as he used to be. I like both fighter, but I have to give it to the younger,stronger, hungry fighter in Cotto. I beleive that since Cotto moved to welter he has only gotten stronger, and tends to impose his will on people especially in the later rounds. he breaks you down. I he is able to work Shanes body, that will drain any power Shane may have.

Cotto has shown much heart and earned my respect when he beat the fuck out of Judah, but his chin still seems suspect, Mosley is a slick boxer with power, am I the only one who thinks Mosley will win by KO? How can you say he has a suspect chin when he took some hard flush shots from Judah and he kept coming. That alone should be enough to prove that he has a good chin.

i definately think shane can win with a KO. but i can picture cotto doing the same if they make it to those later rounds and mosley isnt able to hurt him with anything. but mosley has good power. but we'll all know the deal come fight night- as always.

Cotto is a smarter fighter than Vargas Cotto has more drive and will than Vargas Cotto is more technically sound than Vargas ever was. Vargas was semi-retired and never really had much training drive. that is why not Cotto. Don't get me wrong it can still happen but Vargas does not serve as any kind of gage as to how well Mosley can do against Cotto. Mosley is a smarter fighter than Cotto Mosley has the heart of a warrior Mosley is more technically sound than Cotto ever will be. Judah was dismantled in his last three or four fights that meant something. Don't get me wrong it can still happen but Judah does not serve as any kind of gauge as to how well Mosley can do against Cotto and Judahs the only real name that he has on his resume. I would count Paulie but he punches like my little sister. Torres gave him all he could handle and should have finished him.

VARGAS was weight drained, and probably could have been dropped from a push, he was CLEARLY dehydrated in their fight

Vargas was past his prime though so its different, and he's always been vulnerable to a left hook anyway.
