Sick KO in the first week, i wont give away the winner for those who have seen it.
Highlight this is you wanna know the winner: CODRINGTON TKO 2
I cant wait to see that fight full with Tessitore and Atlas calling it.
They didnt edit it NEARLY as much, the sound effect are much quieter in a good way, and the fight was awsome.
Codrington is very very vulnerable early.
I didnt like Season 2 at all and stopped watching it, and season 1 was okay, but this one is really good. Im gonna continue watchin it until the end

Yeah I was thinking Codrington was going to get knocked for a minute, until he made my man do the "Electric Bugaloo"... I think Codrington showed why boxing is called boxing and not slugfest...
Fucking Show Is Gay. Watch T.u.f. U Will Se Better Action Not Only In The Ring But Outside Too. This Boring Boxers Are Killing The Entertainment They Even Have To Do Special Effects To Make Their Shit Look Better
The contender is gay right, well what do you call two dudes rolling around in positions I use on my wife? Get the Phuck out of here and go watch some more full contact jiu jitsu, oh my bad I meant MMA...
Yeah really good shit so far. Though it's sometimes cool how they freeze it for the big shots and slow moe it, but I can't really tell how they reacted to it overall. Like it doesn't take long for a boxer to shake off a big looking punch, so I really don't know if that was a huge punch or not. Like when his legs stumbled it I could tell it hurt him, but could he recover? I mean they kept it somewhat slow, so it was harder to tell. It just bugs me.
Anyway, I really hope Miguel Hernedez wins. Apperently he works under my dad as a job or something when he's not boxing, so I found that kinda cool. Kinda hoping for him. Though honestly, I don't see him making it far at all. He looks like a Jr.middle not a super middle.
Though I really like Sam Soliman too.
Can anyone confirm when they will be showing the entire fight? I tried but couldn't find it.
yes they will be but itll be a while after the episode airs with that fight in it. like a week or so
This season is better because there are better fighters, keep in mind KBall, the reason they showed more of the fight is becasue the fight only went 2 rounds.
I thought the beginning was bullshit, and they should have let all 16 guys fight.
yea i know, but they also had the golden boy visit so i assume without that, they would do the same thing for longer fights.
i cant wait to see Sam Soliman fight, and theres a possibility he could fight Bika which is a fight i would definetly want to watch if it were on HBO or something. thats a quality matchup.
it seems like super middleweights are fun to watch, next year they should go cruiserweight but if they keep it at super middle thats fine. Anyway alot more enertaining then welterweight. Abunch of small guys with fast hands for me isn't that enertaining. Except when Floyd does it (on Ricky) that's real enertainment.
i hate how they slow down the motion everytime someone lands a clean punch. That makes it look like a videogame :nonono: They need to either stop that shiet or do a better job at it.
My wife is sick of me watching boxing. She hates it. But she actually sat down and enjoyed the show last night. Im hoping this show will hook her :) Then I can watch boxing all day and night without any complaints!!! Muhahhahhaaaa
Is the english dude any good whats his name?
name is Paul Smith .. he seemed pretty good from what the sparring showed .. but he hasn't been in the ring yet, so no idea
judging from the scenes from next episode it looks like he's (Paul Smith) possibly going to fight Miguel Hernandez or David Banks
who knows, its all speculation right now .. but if Paul Smith fights next Tuesday .. thats probably who I would pick him to fight.
to Gold team does get to pick .. so no idea who they would want.
I saw the first episode where they do the SPARQ training and six of them get cut. I have to say that as far as that episode goes, I was definately NOT IMPRESSED. It was mostly them doing the testing, with monologues from Sugar Ray Leonard before and after each day of testing that were extremely cliche and I would say that they definately sounded scripted.
Now that there is actually fights going on it might be worth watching.
it would take more then half the show to show the entire fight and in between rounds.. no matter what they are gonna have to chop it, its a great show, quit complaining
Mike Dee I would recomend watching it this year... You have world class fighters (Sam Soliman, Sakio Bika), contenders (Jaidon, Paul Smith), and some young guys (Max Alexander, David Banks)... should be a good tournament... there is a new wrinkle this year also, even if you win your first fight you are not guaranteed to move on... you have to win convincingly to go to the semis
I'm surprised that Vera got KO'd by Codrington. I only say this because Vera hung in 8 or 10 rounds (however many there were) against hard punching Samuel Miller (the guy who had that GREAT fight against Darrell Woods early this year), without getting KO'd.
EDIT: Shane Mosley looks like a total tool when he is excited. When they show him in crowd right before the fight... wtf.
as much of a boxing fan I am, I have never watched any of "The Contender" shows. Am I missing out or should I stick to watching championship level boxing?
Some of the editing both in and outside of the ring still bothers me, but yes its much better. I like the fact that they are actually showing sparring and training. The drama is still there, but its at a minimum.
