I'm tired of the excuses, that he's "brewing up the fight"? If he loses to Mayweather, will he have the balls to fight Witter or not remains to be seen. I think Witter has very good reflexes and good power, especially early on, he's very good fighting backwards too, he might give Hatton lots of fits considering their styles.
Witter is a good fighter, slick counterpunches with power. He doesnt work hard enough in the rounds though, especially if he goes for an early ko. There has always been suggestions of stamina problems as well.
This still would be a dangerous fight for Hatton ,Witter could still catch hin coming in with some hard counterpunches but Hatton's chin is good.Tszyu caught him with some bombs and didnt stop him and he has more power than Witter.
Hatton's pressure should be too much for Witter and i think Witter would go on the run if he didnt score an early ko.Hatton wins by late tko or wide points imo.
This is still a huge fight in the uk, if things dont go according to plan against PBF a Witter fight at the MEN would be a sellout. Witter should do himself a favor and look for unification fights at 140, this way it takes Hatton's other options away from him.
How you figure that? Deffense, power, speed, what coz I don't see it. There's a reason why Graham never wanted the Collazo fight in the first place, and I'm pretty convinced its the same reason why they don't want the Witter fight.
Dude
I don't like Hatton. I'm being objective.
Witter got lucky last Friday, he took some big ass shots, he got caught when he shouldn't have. At one point in the fight we thought Witter was about to lose. Hatton is about five blocks above Witter.
hatton has took the pussy way out all this time. its a diff excuse everytime.
now he doesnt want it because witter has been disrespecting him, and he dont want to see him making any money lol
just watch this interview with hatton before the harris fight

Hatton has been sayin this for ages. I lik Hatton but it sounds like an excuse to me.
Juniors stye could cause all sorts of problems for Hatton and he knows it.
hatton is only going to have a couple more fights and retire from what iv heard. so i guess he will go for the biggest paydays. but i wouldn't be suprised if hes out after mayweather.
Hatton dosen't need to fight the JOKE Witter. Who the fuck has Witter ever beat, and don't say Harris because he is a glass chinned bum that barely beat a SHOT Lazcano and got KTFO by Maussa.

If you wanna see the fight, you should root for Mayweather to beat Hatton. This way, Hatton has something to prove, and goes back down to 140, where he belongs. Both can have tune-up fights doubel-header style on HBO, and build up to a decent HBO card, MAYBE even a PPV. Though, Hatton has to look decent against Mayweather, and Witter needs one more American name on his resume, in my personal opinion.
why though if you hated someone so much you would want to give them a beating in the ring it just sounds like an excuse to me if floyd did something like that people would be crying out that he was ducking them, not that i care much witter should just go after Malignaggi if hatton wont fight him.
100% true, witter has been calling hatton out before hatton was famous worldwide, its not about paydays, its about the fact he thinks he can take hatton, the two of them should fight, but if hatton beats mayweather, i reckon he will retire or at least take a break from boxing.
You're right, but when you see his first 35 or so fights and see his last 8, you see a totally different fighter. Different skill levels.
I've seen every fight of both fighters, witter would not be able to take Hattons power, neither will pbf for that matter imo
Billy Graham would take anyone to make cash for him and put Hatton in the spotlight. Graham never dodged the Maussa scrap, whoever fed you that shit needs looking at.
Hatton is quicker, more ring clever, more savvy, more balls, much more experienced than Witter. Who has Witter boxed? Harris, Solemanye, anyone else? That's why he's defending his WBC title at Doncaster Dome instead of Thomas and Mack in Las Vegas, NV, or places like that, in case you didn't know where Ricky Hatton boxes...and against world champs like, er, Floyd Mayweather
dont mean to be funny mate but Hattons not just about running in, htrowing 2 shots and holding. U don't win 43 fights if thats ALL u can do

LOL at you comparing the risk between fighting Maussa and Witter, Graham didn't want the Collazo fight and he didn't want the Witter fight, he knows his man and his limitations, why do you think he wanted Cotto at 140 and not at 147?
Hatton might be slightly quicker and have better stamina but Witter is more explosive, steps back and blasts you as you're coming in, particularly if you come in as wreckless as Hatton does. Witter's competition hasn't been the best, his career hasn't been as well promoted as Hatton's but by no means should this affect the outcome of their fight. Please, lets not talk about the Zoo, Castillo and for that matter Collazo fights, we all know the circumstances sorrounding those. And finally, we all know who PBF picks on, again, that only tells us he's more popular and that PBF thinks Hatton will be an easy fight for him.
I disagree, Hitter counters quickly and effectively, very quick stepping back and firing hooks and upper cuts. Hatton is all about running in, throwing two shots and holding. I see Witter switching and making it a long night for Hatton.

the difference between collazo and witter though is that collazo is a lot taller and is probably a light middleweight.
Ricky would have a few problems with Juniors swtich hitting but hes not that quick really and would not get away from Hatton, plus Junior has not fought anyone with as much power as Ricky

I still think Hatton will maul Witter, if ever they meet. And Witter doesn't have that big a name or a serious big name on his resume that would make any non British fight fans want to see this match. If it happens, it'd have to be in the U.K and on sky sports because no American fight fan really knows much, if at all, about Witter.

I was a the Witter fight last night. Dude hit Harris with some big big bombs. having said that, he ain't a patch on Hatton...and I ain't a Hatton fan. Hatton is a class or five above.

It's the same kind of issue as Floyd-Margarito. One guy calling the other out does not constitute ducking until all the normal considerations fall in favor of a fight. IF Hatton loses to Mayweather, he'll still have better options than Witter, including Mailgnaggi. Witter has to beat paulie first imo

If hatton loses and doesn't face DLH than I believe he should, I would say Hatton by UD, I really don't see anyone in 140 beating him at the moment, maybe Mal if he is slick enough but Hatton would run right through his punches.
