You cant blame that on Irish people, it was in NY. The people there were just Americans who think that they are Irish.
New York:nonono:
Some places practically are Ireland, like where I live. well sort of.
Did you see the duddy campus fight? Was Campas not robbed? Is that what you're trying to tell me? And I don't have any problems with Irish people, I was just joking with the stereotypical irish drunk joke.

No, i was joking. I said the same thing in another topic about the english crowd that follows hatton around. I said something like if Hatton loses, the drunks will have a riot. I don't have anything against anyone. Seeing how I have english in my blood. People also mistaken me for having irish in my blood... HAHAHA
lol, ah right. How long have you been following Calzaghe btw?

I havn't even touched on the subject of wether or not Duddy deserved the win or not mate - My point was solely that I thought you were being serious about the crowd and that. Nevermind then.
He would beat Ouma and Mora. Give Yori Boy some credit for what he did in that bout rather than digress into insults against Irish people.
One fight where he wasn't great and every has him written off now.
Great point about the insults.
EliteSoldier: I don't know where your bad experiences have come about. Yes, Irish boxing fans enjoy a drink, as much as English boxing fans I can assure you. Why would a judging board fear an irish crowd, when in all fairness, it's the English who have the expertise in causing fear and bloody mayhem at sporting events(football).
The irish fans enjoy a laugh, and sure most of them who go havn't got a clue about the current boxing scene, but they don't go to cause trouble.
Dunne vs Martinez: There was not a single boo for the spanish anthem, and Martinez was given a round of applause. The way it should be.
Duddy couldn't even beat a shot fighter, he got a gift irish decision. Probably because the irish brats would have started a riot if it didn't go to there irish fighter who didn't deserve the win. They shouldn't let irish people drink when watching boxing, they can't control their temper.

Maybe the young mick laddie could step up his game by facing the victor of Ouma-Mora
Duddy would beat Ouma or Mora. Every fight Ive seen of his I've been impressed, I didn't see his fight against Yori Boy, maybe it was the old man's last big effort and we should give him credit rather than taking it away from John.
Yeah true, but I don't know if having Emmanuel Steward there as his trainer brainwashed me into thinking that way. lol - Nah, he did show some good potential.
He constantly spars with Cintron, Banks, Taylor and Wlad so i doubt Stewart and Lee himself would be able to talk him up if he didnt hold his own against them.
Good point, but i do think Andy Lee is for real. If Duddy or McCloskey land European title fights over/under bets will be the way to go.

Most of Ireland's current prospects are overrated anyway. Look what happened to Dunne.

His next fight will also be in Ireland or somewhere around there. I read an article saying he plans to continue a European Tour
yea he is, and if hes succesful i wouldnt be surprised if he gets yet another fight in before coming back, considering how active that guy is
And no, hes not ready to step up.
We saw what happened against Yory Boy, and we know Duddy still has a long way to go before he has any chance competiting with the top middleweights.
I say we leave him be, hes not claiming hes the best out there or that he could beat this person or this person so theres no reason to push him when hes not ready.
duddy isnt going to get any better, this isnt a video game, where you fight 60 guys before you fight the "boss"...step it up duddy!
