Well, a guy by the name of "Iron" Mike Tyson introduced me to boxing back in November 2005. And I never looked back since. I use to think football was the greatest sport. But football doesnt have the passion or heart that boxing does. I like tons of current fighters as well as ones from the olden days. I love watching Wladimir Klitschko tear someone apart or see a guy get knocked down and get back up to blast his opponant. Im gonna watch all the big PPV's and love every minuet of it. Boxing is the greatest sport ever.
On second thought...
I think I like boxing because I am, by nature, a fighter. At an early age I enjoyed fisticuffs, never backed down from a challenge and often initiated it. However, while I had no qualms about inflicting punishment, I wasn't too crazy about absorbing it. Consequently, I love boxing as a vacarious outlet.

Because of the purity of the sport. Not in terms of business practices (it's not) but because of the rules.
2 fists, above the waist only punches, and 3 minutes rounds. It's the mostly highly evolved form of ring sport in the world. It' a science and yet it is utterly blue collar and always will be. The most refined and simultaneous raw atheltic endeavor one can do with two fists alone.
I agree with everything u said, I think another thing is "Honor" one of the biggest reason's I will always prefer Boxing to MMA is, U dont sit on top of a helpless guy who's on his stomach raining down punches to the back of the head in boxing. Its a Gentlemens sport, the class of combat sports.
Because it takes everything, determination, heart, skill, courage, and toughness. Its a sport that pushes you to the limit, keeps you in shape and is a part of human history going back to the ancient olympics.
i agree almost 100%.....
i think that is a sport that pushes to over the limit, and to be able to surpass your own self is amazing. :boxing:

I love it because of fights like
Morales vs Barrera 1, 2, and 3
Chavez vs Taylor 1
Rosario vs Ramirez 2,
Pacquiao vs Marquez
Marquez vs Barrera
Morales vs Pacquiao 1,2, and 3
Corrales vs Castillo 1 and 2
And upsets like
Juarez vs Soto
Hernandez vs Litzau,
Bojado vs Leija,
Darchinyan vs I forgot who
I guess I just got too many reasons.
