Torres v. Holt Highlight Vid In Spanish

This fight was over when Torrez was still on his ass and the ref was at 6 count. Easy win for Holt in all aspects except for a sad "decision" ($$$)

Wait, ok so this is what I saw right before the stoppage. Holt through a punch and it get's stopped with him on the losing end. That's bullshit. The only controversy here is that he got a hometown loss. Bring Torres back to the US and let them go at it again.

This looks to me like the stoppage in Marquez-Vasquez II. Holt wasn't completely out of it, but he was in bad shape. The fight could have gone on longer, but I wouldn't call that a terrible stoppage either... He was fine. He was almost instantly amazed it had been stopped. I'm sure there have been worse. At least Torres had been hitting him before it was stopped.

Found this.....nice bomb by Torres. Laughing. Torres was layed out flat for an 8 count. Had the ref down on his knees helping him out. And Holt got hit a few times, but was still entirely coherent when the ref called it. What a joke some of you think that was a good call.

holt will definetly learn from it. (the title experience) and you don't think the not being able to see out of his right eye had anything to do with the fact that a beer can hit him in the face you can even see it happen. look at the video right as holt is walking to the corner .. after getting the KD .. right when he gets to the corner .. check that one more time. its real quick a boxer has to worry about whats going on inside the ring, and some stuff (like getting hit with items from the crowd) were a bit out of his control *Torres is definetly tough, no doubt about it. and he gave Cotto a hell of a 7 round fight.

The first knockdown on Torres was hard to tell from that view because it did look like Torres slipped. No one falls from a knockdown like that. His legs swept from under him. But you can argue he got hit with a punch, and he did, a counter left hook...

I notice 5 things from this clip. 1- Ref calling a knockdown a slip. 2- Holt getting hit with a beer can after knocking Torres down. 3- The count appeared rather slow. 4- A cornerman trying to clean up the mess with a towel. 5- Holt clear headed and bitterly complaining a nano second after the stoppage. Throw in the point that almost all sources claim Holt should have been well ahead in the scoring and was not. I believe you have a clear case of Holt getting Fucked over. Just my 2 cents.

Torres did get dropped 4 times vs Cotto right? or am I making that up? (how is that "hate" im stating it as a fact) PS considering I've never met or spoken to Ricardo Torres in my entire life, let alone seen him .. I don't think I hate the guy. hell I've only seen 1 of his fights (vs Cotto) but no its coo. the stoppage was waranted and Holt should just suck it up. Why do boxers always make excuses? *this isn't as bad as Bautista's 1st title fight. I stress again, this was Kendall Holt's first shot at a title. hopefully he can learn from it, and not get KO'd. this is his first tittle shot but he's been in the ring with good boxers before so theres no excuses

This is what people were complaining about? It was legit as can be, when holt falls back against the ropes after the stoppage it is very obvious that he was out of it, and lucky the fight got stopped. Torres is legit because of his power, someone asked what has he done, well he just knocked out Holt who everybody was hyping up, and was very close to knocking out the only man to beat him, thats enough for me.

Peter Manfredo was ducking and slipping punches against the ropes and didn't even get knocked down at all, but was "stopped" by Calzaghe. How then does this compare to Torres' stoppage of Holt?? It's a vast difference if you ask me. At least Torres actually hurt his opponent and had him on the canvas. And he at least followed up with a finishing flurry where the referee just didn't want Holt to get hurt and so the fight was stopped. So if Calzaghe can get a stoppage without even hurting or knocking down his opponent then Torres' actions more than warranted a stoppage. In this light then, I see no problem with this fight's ending. Shit.. Tell me about it.. Nothing is worse than the weak ass stoppage that happend in Wales.. That fight should get awarded the fastest and most useless stoppage in history. AND it was a title fight.

I thought the stoppage was a lil early cause just as the ref came in holt was throwing a shot. I think he was going into his shell and letting Torres open up so he could hit him with a counter

Wow that left hook.. Right on the chin.. When did that happen? Early in round 11? How much time was left? It did look a slight premature though.. If there was alot of time left I think Torres would have PROBALY finished him off.

yeah he straight up dropped him there. you saw like half way through the clip Holt got an earlier knock down ... and what does the referee do? waves his hands like Torres slipped. get of Torres nuts seriously. you know how stupid you sound saying Holt and Paulie have similar power, or something of that nature. Holt dropped Torres 2 times ... but the ref only counted one of them. what has Torres done besides getting dropped 4 times in a loss to Miguel Cotto? we got a hater in the house...
