Probably not.
Exactly, and Jones is in a big (albeit wayyyyyy overdue) fight and HBO can't help but to get there greedy fingers on it to make some money.
I don't really think HBO "turned their backs" on Roy. Roy is notorious for asking for wayy too much money at innappropriate times. Plus, he was supposed to be a broascaster for them, and the rumor has had it that he wrote off going to meeting and shit, thinking it didn't mean anything.
I think he should maybe just thank somebody that he's even gettint the opportunity to get on the channel again.
You think HBO would care that he was missing meetings if he didn't suffer 2 brutal knockouts?
im actually half i have african american blood on me what are u talking about??? i love boricuas fighters but im always neutral why ya'll got to bring the race shit its kind of stupid.
the whole thing started when CottoOverrated1 said the 1st 2 people who picked Trinidad is because they Puerto Rican then RobJr agreed, this isn't no big race issue argument just a discussion, that whole race thing died out already so leave it dead.. 100

After the third Tarver fight I think they wanted him only exclusively as a broadcaster, which he was going to do (I Think he was already knee deep before that fight anyway). However, Roy didn't go to many of the production meeting and shit, thinking he could blow them off, so they terminated his contract.
And to chime in on the whole race shit being played out, I don't think it's about race. Tito is probably gunna get whooped. I admit I'm a Roy fan, but I'm also a Tito fan, though not as big, but its just too much to add up.
Tito's never fought above 160, and there he was in serious trouble (i.e. Hopkins). Tito hasn't fought since 2005 against Winky, in which a very skilled boxer gave him a fucking lesson. Roy has both the power Hopkins did, and the skills that Wright has blended into a nice mixture, so its pretty obvious to say that Tito's going down. Roy's been at least SOMEWHAT active lately, has rounds under his belt, and I just don't think Tito can stand his power and speed.
However, maybe making it to 170 may be a factor for Roy, but who knows.
You only mention Bernard Hopkins but what about how he looked against William Joppy, Hacine Cherifi and Ricardo Mayorga? he got dominated by Wright but it wasn't a beat down it was just boxing at it's best, 1 getting hit and the other not getting hit, no real fuck up there just a bad choice of style and a Trinidad with no fire in him. I think now he can rejuvenate himself one more time for an all out Left Hook to the body war, Tito can do it, Jones power wont play that much of a factor because lately Jones pre thinks his punches he doesn't just let his hands go because as his speed diminished he can be countered, Trinidad CAN catch him with another Glen Johnson dogz believe dat, Trinidad has all the tools, he is younger, has never experienced that type of brutal knockout, he feels good, after a long lay off his body called for 170 so I'm sure he will come in good condition and ready for 12, something tells me Jones just wont be able to deal with another onslaught of punches which is what will happen if Trinidad lands that 1 blow to hurt him, I think he will and I think we going to see Roy go down this time from a body shot ala Virgil Hill, thats just my opinion though and I respect yours.. 100
can someone explain me wath was going on between hbo and oy jones please, i never knew it
roy said they wanted him 3 days for each fight, one to meet and plan the early things in the production, one the day before the fight so the commentators could somewhat plan their approach to the fight, and the day of the fight itself... but he said he would go the 2 final days but not the first day, he said he didn't want be there more than 2 days...so they fired him...
yea I agree with this post... its true.. yall are just backing your guy and not facing reality...
your boy tito is in serious trouble..
I'm Puerto Rican but I call shit down the line, but it's a funny pattern here, the 1st person to make it a race thing was someone who says Cotto is overrated, a Puerto Rican fighter (considered by many the NEXT Tito), the second person who agreed has Roy Jones Jr all over his signature and avatar, a Roy Jones Jr fan. it's possible as a Puerto Rican that SouzaSuarez2012 is just being delusional and blackirish137 is listening too much to his feelings, however it's also possible that you just being a Roy Jones Jr fan and that CottoOverrated1 just hates Puerto Ricans, maybe Roy Jones Jr is the one in over his head here. regardless as a champion in 3 different weight classes and a fighter whom for over half his career has fought either past or present world champions beating 3 gold medalists he himself never in the olympics Felix Trinidad deserves more respect in this fight, so many people are so quick to just toss Tito to the side but he's a world class athlete, one thing is to think he's going to lose another is to bash him like he never was, just as easy as you can say they were saying what they said about Tito is because their sigs and avatars are full of Puerto Rico representation is the same way they can say about you that you just like Roy the other ni99a just hates Puerto Ricans, it's a double edged sword in this case so let's just jump to facts..
facts are that aside from Jean Paul Mendy Anthony Hanshaw hasn't really beaten any fighter's of any real calibur, Roy's experienced played a big part in that fight and even still Roy got hit way too much, i could only think what if that was a Trinidad punch? especially one of his punches at 170 if the weight is properly put on, you gotta consider Trinidad here, once the weight is on his body then they are going to be damn near even in size, Trinidad stands a better chance at Roy than what Prince Badi Ajamu did that's for sure, some of you guy's are saying Badi can beat Tito, you guys are fucking crazy. Badi would get knocked out, that is going to be a Fight not no boxing match and Trinidad will chop him down, people don't realize Tito is coming straight at Roy with no tune ups because he's going to throw EVERYTHING at him, whatever Trinidad has left is going to be in use that night and I just don't think Roy can take that. Trinidad by late round KO or TKO and maybe decision here, when Roy feels that power and starts to back up and pot shot all Trinidad is going to do is close in on him and seal the deal, call me delusional or call me Puerto Rican but I saw Roy Jones Jr get knocked out cold for 10 minutes by a middleweight who moved up and whom also has a loss to Bernard Hopkins and 5 minutes from Tarver whom also lost to Bernard, in this fight anything is possible.. 100
^^^^ because yall are puerto ricans. no disrespect.
yea I agree with this post... its true.. yall are just backing your guy and not facing reality...

Ill only buy this if the undercard is promising. I love it when theres more than just one big fight.
for some reason, I have a feeling that Tito is going to win too...and Im not Puerto Rican...but then my mind kicks in and tells my feelings to shut the **** up and stop being stupid. I am going to be very curious as to how good of shape Tito's in at this stage though.

Full Melt Hash
I have a feeling Tito pulls it off too. Im just curious how he looks at this weight. Im sure he'll tran his ass off. TITO TITO , i cant wait to start chanting that again.
This fight shouldn't be on PPV. 2 washed up guys. Hopefully we get lucky and Tito comes to fight and it is entertaining.
I still got Roy since I think he still has much more left than Trinidad.
