How do love Pernell Sweet Pea Whitaker but Hate Floyd Mayweather??

yeah thats you're right i know floyd did the same at lower weight classes a lot of people fail to realize you cant always fight and use the same style when fighting different fighters at higher weight classes i always thought floyd should move back down..hes too boring at the higher weights..

Yeah. he "dicks himself" into making SEVENTY MILLION DOLLARS IN THREE YEARS. You might not like the persona he created, but it has: 1) made him a shitload of money 2) made him the center of attention (count the threads) 3) placed him on the P4P list for TEN CONSECUTIVE YEARS. huh there styles are nothin alike.. parnell was on crack beating everybody stands more square and uses his legs.. and mayweather runs 11 miles per day to edge out victories but that side stance shit only works against incomlete fighters... .. but if he squared up and fought of his back foot like barerra he would be hell becuase he has all the punches... hatton wont beat him tho only some body fast on the feet with a jab or real tall with a jab.... cintron williams would be a tough fight becuas of floyds hieght.. mosley becuase hes faster and can use the jab.. i dont think hatton stands a chance i didnt say they had the same exact styles i said they were defensive minded fighters which they are

I like'em both. But Pernell isn't as brash as PBF. He said he's better than (both) Sugar Rays and other legends and yet failed to get the boxing fans the kind of excitement the past greats was able to give is probably why he's not that well liked. Pernell was basically hated almost as much as PBF back then.....but the internet was not as available to the masses as it is now. Yup. These days, we look back on Pea's career and only see the wins and the un-biased commentating. But news snippets and whatnot spoke otherwise about Pernell. On the thread's topic: I like both fighters. Pernell was just more skilled (imo) and fought EVERYBODY.
