Remember when heavyweight fights used to be exciting?

Heavyweight div. is over rated in my opinion.. I think welter and middleweight are the perfect divisions. They have the speed to be exiting and the power to do damage. the lighter you get the less power the higher you get the slower Middleweight has a nice little perfect balance. I agree fully, sounds like yout took the words right off of my keyboard. People do like to see knockouts, and noone has a better capability to do that than heavyweights.

Yea it was pretty good, to me it wasnt that exciting, but just to see someone so small fight the perfect fight and beat a guy twice his size is pretty damn amazing.

Yeah I forgot that one. This year has been good for awesome one-sided demionstrations. Wlad twice and Peter in Peter-Toney II. For the last few years everyone cried there there are no dominant heavies, now they claim the main man is too dominant and it's boring. Well fuck them, you couldn't please them awsome one sided demonstations??? Wlad is the most boring heavyweight ever. All he did was Jab. And i like Peter, but that Toney fight was sloppy and ugly. No one would complain if Wlad was Dominant AND good AND exciting. But he's none of that. Nobody is good enough to challenge him. Peter is even a better fighter and i pick Peter by KO when and if they rematch

You mean there are people who long for the days of Briggs/Lewis!? :nonono: I'll take the Brewster/Lyakhovich war, thank you. I'll also take Peter/Toney I, Peter/Wlad, Wlad/Brewster I, Sanders/Vitali, and even Wlad/Brock over that garbage fight anyday.

Well fuck them, you couldn't please themThat is true, I was not one of those people, but I somewhat like the HW division better now, since Wlad is more grown and experienced. But the thing i don't like is exactly what you said, Wlad is the only dominant one, there is really no one right now to match up to him. while in the 90's or 70's, there was constant battles between 2 or 3 guys that stood out from the rest, like Lewis/Holy/Tyson and Frazier/Ali/Foreman, while Wlad right now stands alone and that's what the division is missing.

funnily enough i was watching the briggs - lewis fight a few days ago having borrowed the entire lennox lewis fight collection. bruno - lewis was fun viewing as well

VK / Lewis IMO is the HW fight of this millennium.. with Brewster / Lyakhovich as a runner up. I was just going to say that:

The really good recent HW fights have been: VK vs. Lewis VK vs. Sanders WK vs. Peter Any of these are very exciting, much better than a fight with Briggs in it. And Len doesn't do it for me. The other night Classic showed his fight with Zeljko whatshisname, man you can't honestly claim from fights like that that HWs were better ten years ago. THAT Lennox would get killed today But thanks for posting the video Mavrovic would have given either Klitschko a tough fight had circumstances not transpired against him. he had a great chin and a big right hand. His strengths even made up for his terrible hairstyle. I'd love to know of these modern HW's who'd kill a prime Lennox Lewis.

Not one of my favorite fights. Sloppy. Yeah its sloppy but its certainly more entertaing then most of the bs fights we've seen in the HW division as of late
