"Amir Khan brings the discipline of boxing and the values of his family and faith to his toughest fight yet: to turn round the lives of six young men who have a history of violence and antisocial behaviour"
The first episode:

the whole point in the show was to get a bunch of nob heads, with a bunch of normal lads who dedicate theyre selves to boxing anyway, that just defeats the whole purpose of the show
plus, it was worth the laugh on the last episode, did you see how they boxed? they learned absolutely fuck all and the only 1 who really seemed like he wanted to change his life around was the older guy
Yeh this series finished in the UK about 3 weeks ago...
Good series and a good idea to..
They would of been better of drafting someone like
Nigel Benn in or Lewis they would of proper looked after the Youth's
aswell has with the Boxing...
the other episodes:
episode 2

i really felt let down by this show, boxing needs more media coverage in england, so when i heard about the concept for this show i was quite interested.
It appears all the way through both episodes that amir isnt really that involved with helping the kids (CHAVS) sort out there problems. they just wheel him in every 20 minutes, he says something about boxing, then its back to the chaves getting pissed and fighting.
It could have been really good.
haha, they only drank for 6 hours! Thats not tooo long.
They definately should have atleast made an effort to stay out of the boozers, i agree.
That first lad, had alot of issues- perhaps more issues than the others. You don't know what kind of things he may have had to endure whilst being in care. His mistrust of people (it seemed primarily men) could be a sign of abuse or something.
yeah could be abused by his parent in someway but usally these stuff is very hard to talk about. Another thing about him, I though his girlfriend was his mother she looked pretty old.
and 6 hours taken away from you life it and getting wasted for another couple of hours is something not short per day
I watched the first episode and was quite pissed off by it.
These lads they got don't want to be boxers. They just wanna be on tv. Fuck them, they don't deserve the attention.
They should come down normal boxing clubs and pick out average 13 or 14 year olds, who come from broken homes in shitty areas of Britain, who dedicate themselves relentlesly, and sacrifice themselves. - instead of a load of pissed up chavs. The young lads from my club, stay outta trouble at school, say no to there pals who are out most nights drinkin and smoking puff. There the ones who deserve training and a visit for one of Boxings biggest celebs.
The kids in my gym said that tonight too.
The show was interesting though, it was nice to see Khans home life. He has a nice family - i liked it when they hit the gym "no swearing and no blashpheming!" ... christ, everyone in my ABC would be thrown out automattically, including my coaches.
I just think Khan could have focussed his attention better on the kids.
the first thing they should have done is not go to bars and get drunk. It even didnt look they have tried to not go there. I never though someone would be drinking for hours too.
as for Khan no paying so much attention it pretty hard to deal with some sitaution like this because they must want to helpl themselves.
You know when the guy got pissed and didnt contiune to train it was shameful because all of these guy are the same sitaution as him and maybe worst. and he left him.
I think Paddy and the Leed United fan is may be leaving
Good stuff, enjoyed it very much. Is part 2 out?
part 2 will be shown on TV next week
i think the guys will be sparring in the next episode-it will be interesting to see how they handle the sparring!!
his brother will never make it as a boxer tho ....
he doesnt have to be a glorous boxer it most important to take him out of trouble and displine himself
Amir Khan seems like a really good guy. That guy in the programe who stormed off the show was a bit disturbed.
too bad too sad.
winning a title fight seemed much easier than change the people around you.
