just wondering... waiting on that good'ol bangwagon to start filling up
wins 24 (KO 19), losses 0 (KO 0)
from last saturday vs. 27-2 Khoren Gevor, August 18th (HBO, Showtime, open your damn eyes!!):
We all know that without the point deduction Abraham would have lost that fight, but we also all know that Abraham would have won without the broken jaw. Abraham would rip Miranda apart in a rematch. Last thing I heard was that Miranda didn't want a rematch.
he doesnt want the rematch because he is moving up in weight. kind of impossible to get a rematch when he cant make 160.
Don't worry we know about Arthur from this.
oh yeah? you mean these pics??

and seriously, if you wanna ignore the guy, thats fine... just make sure you continue to talk shit when he's the #1 middleweight in the world///
(i still can't believe how many blind (or biased) fans we have here saying that Miranda was robbed, give me a break)
LOL @ number 1 middle in the world. LOL thats priceless.
Okay, you don't win a fight by "outworking" someone if your PUNCHES DONT LAND... i guess we all figured that was already known by boxing fans... Abraham was way more accurate than Miranda, even after he got his jaw broken...
There's no way in hell anyone can say that Abraham was just as effective as he was before he had his jaw broke. He completely changed the way he fought to protect his jaw. He might have been more accurate but AFTER he had his jaw broke he didn't punch much at all. Abraham fought defensive for the rest of the fight & at times he tried to flurry at the end of the rounds to steal them but he wasn't effective. And yes Miranda outworked Abraham because he rarely punched back & some of those punches were getting through. That's why Abraham was a bloody mess during the fight because he was getting hit everywhere. The point is Miranda was the busier fighter & landed alot more punches then Abraham blocked that night.
Guys I've watched this fight several times & AFTER Abraham gets his jaw broke he did not fight the same as he was earlier. He was so much more tentative & defensive. He used the Winky defense & was being outworked by Miranda. I don't understand how you two can't see that difference.

HBO knows of the controversy surrounding his fight with Miranda & probably doesn't want any part of him. I still thought Abraham lost the fight with Miranda. How do you win rounds by shelling up for 2:50 & throwing an occasional flurry at the end of the round when your opponent is landing & outworking you? That fight wasn't hard to score at all.
Why would HBO not want any part of this rematch? This is a perfect 'controversy or story-line' to promote this integrueing rematch..

Watch the fight and you'll see that a substantial amount of miranda's punches were landing on the gloves for the majority of the fight, i believe this was the reason why he was fighting dirty, out of frustration. You don't win a fight by throwing and not landing.

Ya know the funny thing about Abraham; is that many posters on this forum said he'd never be the same (in a negative way) after the beating he took from Miranda....
when you have broken bones it need time to heal and maybe it doesnt return like it was before.
So there is alway a possiablity that he chin could break in a fight and maybe worse his career is over before he comes to fight.
I think if they stopped the fight he would have a longer career and his chin wouldnt be broken that badly

Gevor isn't a great puncher, but Abraham took some clean shots, which didn't caused him any problems.
yeah, it's a logical point, but after watching his fight from last saturday, he actually took a decent amount of solid punches to the face and seemed to take them just fine
abraham's jaw is gonna be a problem for him too, it looked really weird after the ghevor fight even thoguh gevor never really hit him cleanly...
some punchs hit cleanly but he just looked find and moved around as not like wanting to be hit, maybe it wasnt heal that much that is why he was on defensive. If Abraham was not hurt by hit chin he would have finished Gevor off faster and before the 6th round because he wont be afaird to take shots
maybe he need time til he comes to the US better heal the chin before he career is really over from it.

well but i dont think Abraham chin is the same he need time to heal it and from what i heard from the commetator it isnt 100% healed which could cause some problem in the future espically if he is going to face punchers

how much longer are ya"ll gonna ignore arthur abraham?
answer: till he climbs out of his euro shell and fight someone of significants.
so let me get this straight, you see NO significance in beating his previous 6 opponents having a combined record of 168-9-2?
I mean, i get that you think the only important boxers in the world are just the ones you know,
but could there possibly be some good boxers out there that you don't know about?
Why are people saying that miranda would've won without the point deductions? without them the scores would have been 114-114, 115-114 abraham, 116-114 abraham. Abraham would've won by majority decision. Anyone who scored the fight for miranda with the deductions included has no idea of how to score a fight, there's no way miranda won 9 or 10 rounds of that fight.
