Did everyone forget the whole crying thing Floyd put on after the Carlos fight was it? When he broke down and began to cry. All he kept saying was how 1 more fight left. Then he'd cry and need a towel to wipe his tears. I swear, he should be an actor. He got everyone going on that crap, and now look at him. He's fighting Hatton and talking a Trinidad fight even. Floyd is really full of shit. I'm just glad he was serious about not retiring yet. Someone still has a chance to knock his head off before retiring. I can only hope. I'll respect Floyd and his skills more once he's got a nice KO defeat in his career.
theres a reason that mike tyson created such a HUGE wave of interest.
Yes you can win and dominate a fight in many ways..but some are much more interesting than others..Im not saying that PBF or RJJ are not master boxers or supremely skillfull....its more a matter of taste I guess...
And as I said Gatti/Ward 1.2 and 3 proves that...
Wars are what people want to see...Including me..
Did you think that maybe some boxers want to be able to talk and use their brain when done boxing?
maybe he was serious about retiring , but fans and media wont let him, they keep on his balls about fighting again.
Your exactly right. Everytime some welter or jr. welter won they were bringing Floyd's name up and Hatton talked just enough shit to make him want to fight again.
Look at where wars got Gatti and Ward. There careers are done. Roy Jones is 38 and still going. Hopkins is still a champion in his 40's.
Its no secret skilled boxers last longer than brawlers.

He's a dancer and a runner, thats why people don't love him
He could have 1000 wins if he doesn't destroy people with KO's no one cares including me. Its like RJJ run dance pip pop. We don't care!
We want heart and guts and b@lls!! Give me (and the rest of the world)
Gatti / Ward ANYDAY! Who gives a flying rats ass what the guy says in some post fight interview! I don't!
Its called "boxing" not knockouts. The Sweet Science there is technique involved this isn't regular street fighting walk up to the other guy and just swing. If Roy Jones, Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins, and others have skill then it would dumb not to use it.

what fans? What media? I mean when he's not riding oscar's coattails.
Oscar lost get over it. And Floyd has many fans. As for media there's 2-3 threads on him here everyday, and boxing sites post things about him even when he hasn't said anything of late.

Serious about retirement or not, I knew it wasn't going to last. Better he stopped that nonsense now that he's still in his prime. Far as the crybaby/shit talking.. It works.. Hence the thread. Keeps him on your mind. What should he be doing? Try to be forgotten?
maybe he was serious about retirment that time but though he didnt put enough to cement his legacy.
his goals was to beat Mosely and DHL, become 5-time WBC champion.
so that is why he is like indirectly calling out Mosely because he been doing that for long time but the first time he wasnt that of a public attention like he is now
Hatton supposed dissing him, just by being honest after the Castillo fight about PBF boring him, was the thing that swayed PBF into coming back though.
That was a diss and I was even mad for him. I knew that he was gonna pull Hatton's card for that cheap shot.
I think PBF wanted to badly retire. He wanted to hear what people said about his achievements, and wanted to be talked about in the same vain as SRR, but he came to realize it wasnt going to happen. But he knew people werent going to give him an easy ride with wanting to retire, with so many potential fights out there.
He came back for Hatton because he has read all the stuff about him being scared to fight someone who is supposed to be even more decent than anyone he has ever fought. But i think he would rather not have to fight Hatton, but he knew people wanted it.
