Once again as I read alot of these posts and comments on here I see the same shit that I saw when Cotto was about to square off with Judah. "He gets hit to much, His chin is weak, sow punches, one dimentional..blah,blah blah. Everyone is entitiled to there opinion but alot of people keep betting against cotto.....
1. PBF doesnt want to face Cotto b/c Arum and b/c Cotto has a relentless style similar to Castillo which is the only style that gave PBF fits.
2. Mosley and Cotto have both only been down once in there careers ( in case you so-called fans turned boxing experts forget getting stunned is not getting knocked down and in doesn't mean you have a weak chin either)
3. Yes Mosley has more ring smarts than Cotto but when has Cotto ever fought a fight where he did not dictate the pace and exert his game plan?
4. Mosley as of late still has a tendency to throw one shot at a time with an occasional combo.
5. Cotto is younger, better stamina and has more will. Mosley was gettinmg tired in the Collazo fight and that was what a year ago and he is approaching 36 now.
6. This might piss off a few people on here but Cotto has that Tyson like feel to him. Remember how most of tyson's opponents had that look in there eye right before the fight like they knew they got into something that was a lil to depp for them. Think back to Judah in the locker room right before the fight with Cotto. He look scard to shit and Cotto was laughing and play fighting with his son and then he Flips the switch as soon as that bell rang....
cotto gets hurt too much , there is no way to excuse that ... he has heart and will but sometimes you can eat a lot of punishment but you cant shit it out ...
mosley is going to destroy miguel cotto ...
and mayweather is going to destroy hatton ...
I see Mosely winning a split decision but I don't know about destroying Cotto. You guys making it seem like Cotto is a bum or something. Hes undefeated and a champion. He fights with heart and gives fans what they wanna see. If he does win it would be good for him but with Mosely's experience I don't see it happening.
I remember I had doubts that Cotto would lose to Zab, I was obviously proved wrong. Now I am kind of leaning toward Cotto to win because Shane's style isnt too far away from zab's and because he is more willing to go toe to toe. I dont think Cotto has a weak chin, he has only been down once and he did comeback to knock the guy out. It was probably having to lose all that weight to 140 which made him so sluggish. Now I think he is a full grown Welterweight and can take the hits from any one else at 147. And also he has relentless pressure all throughout every round so that will probably give Shane some real problems.
I forget the name of the fighter. But was it Torres? Anyway if Mosley gets in that same opportunity he will finish Cotto off. Not saying Cotto won't get back up but he will be KO'd if Shane sees he's hurt. Judah stunned him a few times. And one punch clearly affected Cotto but then the whole low blow thing came. But I'm not saying Cotto did it intentionally it's just how it occured. But I'm expecting the Mosley to war it out with Cotto and put him away at some point. Just my opinion.
