One thing I noticed is that the Pinoys, at least the majority of them, are open and embrace Mexican boxers. Many are fans of Erick Morales and even Marco A. Barrera along with others.. But when it comes to Mexicans and their views on Pinoy boxers I see a lot of close mindedness and hating . Yes I get it, you are proud of your country.. The majority of Mexicans are very patriotic and are strong nationalists.. But get it through your head that there will always be someone better out there.. Mexico isn't the only country that produces champions, and because your fighter is going up against someone doesn't mean you have to hate them and their fans.. Your country got owned this last weekend. Yes, its a big blow to your ego.. But you win some you lose some! Be humble and know how to take a loss.
No country is better then another.. and because a fighter may have fought a champion you never heard of does not mean he is over rated.. There are other champs out there other then in North America And arguing over dumb shit like such only makes you look like a fucking idiot!
Anyway I, myself, am glad that Manny paved the way for other Pinoys to
want to pursue a boxing career and they are making it in the lower weight classes.. The more countries that turn into boxing power houses the better, more competition more hungry athletes makes more exiting fights and it benefits the sport! Sure some of Pacquiao's fans piss me of and have less then half a fucking brain, but look at the big picture.. what boxer doesn't have some fucking annoying fan??... Don't judge the fighter by his fans judge the fighter for the fighter...
And some of you *****s need to learn that because I think Guzman will make Manny look bad or whatever fighter going up against another.. doesn't mean I hate or am being a hater.. Its a fucking opinion.. Your fighter ain't fucking superman and learn to take criticism.. Anyway I'm done with my lil drunkin rant...
I'm on my way home tomorrow do to some shit... But hope y'all had an awesome weekend!!
yes sir, i'm from the moroland
The Manila Times headline was "CAMP MASSACRES BARED", reporting the massacre of fourteen soldiers on Corregidor island, with another 40 missing, in a Marcos project code-named Jabida, whose aim was sabotage and insurgency in Sabah. The recruits were Filipino Muslims and the target was a Malaysian Muslim state. The recruits naturally rebelled and were therefore massacred. To Marcos, the natural resources of Sabah were the ultimate gold mine. He said as much so many times to mistress Dovie Beams. And he claimed to have the Special Power of Attorney on Sabah from the Sultanate of Jolo, traditional owners of what had now become a Malaysian state.
one of them escaped right? from what i heard from some of my friends from the south is that marcos wanted to off them to erase any eveidence of ever forming the vaunted group becasue the british intelligence discovered marcos's plot to disrupt sabah so that he can claim it for the PI.
just realized you're from the moroland...yes sir, i'm from the moroland
we have fought 2 revolutions and in the 2nd world war. some of our muslim brothers are still fighting since the 70's. we warriors too its in our blood. maybe prof kadyo knows the story about the elite muslim soldier in the time of marcos who swam to a far away island to escape death. i dont know the whole story.

lol. this statement just made me laugh. as if the mexicans are the only ones who have the right to this word. mexicans fighters are warriors in their own right and so are others who fight and never back down until they've given their best.
to give you a glimpse of the past and show you how fierce and determined the Filipino warriors are, read the following and maybe, just maybe you may learn that there are other people outside of mexico who embody the meaning of the word "warrior".

This quote below was written by Cornelius C. Smith, Jr - Thirty year US Army veteran of the Indian wars (he fought Apache, Comanche, Lakota etc.) and the Moro campaigns.
Smith received a Congressional Medal of Honor for gallantry against the Sioux. For his gallantry he was sent to Mindanao to fight the Moros.
"In hand to hand combat our soldiers are simply no match for the Moro. If our first shot misses the target, we rarely have time to get off another."
and this quote:
“The Indian campaign were not analogous. The Indian Wars were amateur melees compared with the insurrection (by Filipinos in Southern Luzon) waged in 1900…” pg. 138 Millett, The General (Gen. Robert L. Bullard, who helped track the Apache warrior, Geronimo) (sidenote: Another officer who was credited in actually capturing Geronimo was also killed in the Philippines at that time, ironically by a Filipino named ...Geronimo)
Thus, the development of the Colt 45. The US ARMY had cadaver tests of firearm stopping power as field tested during the Philippine Campaigns. The results swayed the Army into abandoning the .38 caliber Colt and Smith/wesson revolvers for the .45
Accounts of fierce Moro determination by US soldiers and failed stopping power of the .38 led to the deployment of the "Philippine" often called the "Alaskan" in error. The "Philippine" was a Colt M1878/1902 D.A. Army revolver with a large trigger guard and longer trigger . The modification was for increased leverage to allow for a stiffer mainspring necessary to fire Frankford Arsenal ammunition.
On October 8th, 1903 General William Crozier addressed the automatic pistol issue. Supported by the above Thompson-Lagarde studies, by early 1906 and numerous modifications later, the new Colt .45 M1905 automatic was government issue.

yes bro he was thinking that the lapu lapu would fight him mano a mano and oh how he was suprised that when out of nowhere they were attacked while they were still in knee deep water walking with their heavy armor. Lapu lapu fought a very strategic battle which caused the death of magellan. The sad thing for these travellers was when they were requesting to have back magellan's body, lapu lapu wouldn't hear none of it. Don't get me wrong because I find this magellan a very cool dude, it's just that dealing with this lapu lapu guy is not an easy thing and as you said magellan found it the hard way.
just realized you're from the moroland...
Magellan found out the hard way....

That's called a figure of speech. Everybody knows there is only one person to call himself, unless of course they allow human cloning.
I agree that Pacquiao is popular because most Filipinos can identify themselves with him besides being humble, religious and accomodating.that and many more like fond of gambling, procrastinating, chicks hunting atpb. Pinoy nga naman :D

Nice info bro.
They called Bautista the next Pacquiao. But there will be no Pacquiao. That is like saying there will be a next Michael Jordan or the next JC Chavez. Pacquiao, besides the way he fights, that made him popular is that the way he interacts with the people. With the Filipinos, they see him as one of them, just part of the crowd, cuz he came also from poverty.
That's called a figure of speech. Everybody knows there is only one person to call himself, unless of course they allow human cloning.

Morales beat Pac, Marquez drew with Pac, and I'll give you Barrera.
Failed to mention Pac KO'd Morales twice, and drew with Marquez who went to Indonesia instead of facing Pacquiao again.
these filipinos aint nothing. if they try to challenge mexicos best they will lose. they will all getk nocked out faster than the bum buatista.
WHO'S MEXICO'S BEST?
PLS NAME 1?
these filipinos aint nothing. if they try to challenge mexicos best they will lose. they will all getk nocked out faster than the bum buatista.
ALA MORALES, MARQUEZ, AND BARRERA...Bring on your best!!!!
Henprix, I cannot believe what I'm readin'. You have clearly turned into a marshmallow, all mushy and soft. No more trash talkin' back, now you turn things around w/ a question(lol).
Go home Henprix, go home. Just like PAC sent the rest of Team Mexico home. And what can you say about those Filipino bums, those guys were something else Saturday night. Don't you think, I mean the @ss kickin' they put on . FIVE TO 1. FLIP BUMS over ****q*ee* bums.
shut the fuck up
I agree with you, however, ive really been having doubts about Pac lately, i like him a lot, but i just saw his fights with Morales again, and its amazing how dominant Morales was for the first 17 rounds of their fights.... Pac only won like 4 rounds up to that point, same against Marquez He barely won any rounds after the first one, and he didnt look impressive in his fights with Larios and Solis...I guess what Im trying to say is that I dont think we really know the state Pacman has been for over 2 years since his move up to 130 pounds, because the fights with Morales dont mean much, seeing the Terrible state in which Morales was in the second half of the 2nd fight and in the third fight, because though he looked impressive, a very big part of that had to do with Morales....
I hope all the question regarding Pac are answered in his next few fights.....
though morales may have won the 1st, he didnt dominate the fighter. dominate is pbf-gatti. pac finished strong and the cards were not one sided. the next 2 fights, give credit to pac, he beatup morales so bad he looked shot. and even david diaz who's much bigger than pac and morales cant put him away in12, while erik's gone in 3 rounds against pac. this is after he said he's in the best shape for the fight after undergoing all the velocity training. also, why stop watching the pac-em trilogy after 17rds?
larios was a fight for the fans. it was held in the philippines and pac ddnt want to end the fight so soon. sure he was rocked in the 3rd, that's overconfidence for u, but hey, all great fighters get rock one time or the other, but pac didnt go down. solis fight wasnt' impressive? he KO'd the guy for christ's sake and he dominated all the rounds. their styles are just bad for each other thats they both look clumsy and reason for a lot of accidental headbutts.
