clottey is a lil too defensive sometimes and williams would just pile up points Exactly, he'll lay back with his hands up and Williams will pop off 30 punches like nothing. Clottey would have to wear him down to the body, which is certainly possible.

It really would complete the quarterfinals of the welterweight division if it happened. (C) Mayweather vs. (unranked) Hatton (1) Cotto vs. (3) Mosley (6) Cintron vs. (4) Margarito (2) Williams vs. (8) Clottey Mayweather might be game for it, because the winner of Cotto-Mosley will have temporary superstar status... and then whoever climbs up the other side of the bracket would be a huge name too. Still though, I highly doubt it. i think this has a good chance of happening i can't wait to see the other fights get made i mean who else is left unless quartey/forrest come down??? You kind of get it but you still dont get it. Everyone needs to stop with that shit about avoiding people. Im sick of hearing the media saying that dumb shit. There are a ton of guys out there who would fight "the most avoided guy" no matter who it is. Your talking about people saying that about Clottey but there have been a million of people saying that about Williams and its dumb. Everyone can get good fights if they want them. In this case everyone lately has been calling Williams that guy and no one is even talking about Clottey. Ive read a ton of recent articles talking about how everyone is scared of Williams and how he is on the outside looking in. Thats B.S. because Clottey would fight his ass in a minute. Ive said for awhile that this is the fight that should be made. No doubt, Clottey would step up but I bet Williams wont take that fight No, I do get it. you act like I put much meaning bhind "most avoided." You guys are crazy and are severly underrating Clottey. I think its a 50/50 fight and wouldnt be shocked at all if Clottey won. His D is great. Williams will throw alot of shots but Clottey will be catching alot of them and firing back with combos. He can also walk Williams down and even though he doesnt have the power like Margarito, he has the speed to cut off the ring way better then Margarito did early in the fight.

........... Paul Williams should defend his title against Joshua Clottey. Fuck it. everybody acts like Clottey is this guy who is scary and avoided. Well Skinny Pun needs to put an end to that. Pun is the most avoided and the scariest dude in the division. He needs to do that with two victories over Margarito and Clottey. besides, Clottey is ranked high in the WBO. I'm not sure Paul Williams can get by Clottey, Clottey is tough as nails and has very good hand speed as well as defense. I think it would hinge on whether Clottey has the power and ability to find williams, making him think about throwing so many punches, if he does Clottey wins a ud. Clottey aint gonna be able to catch Williams like he did margarito. Williams got good lateral movement. Margarito uses alot of parrying.

Williams would win this,Clottey isnt gona hurt Williams,Clotteys power is overated if u ask me,19 KOs in 32 fights,he didnt KO his last opponent,Demarcus Corley did in a round I think Williams would hit him with nonstop punches,winning the rounds on the judges cards,and Clottey likes to fight in spurts,so that definatly wouldent win him rounds against a guy who throws over a thousand punches,Williams easy UD
