Considering heavyweights are much bigger now days,do you think Prime Tyson who in my opinion was 1986 thru 1988 would be Undisuted Heavyweight champion in this era.
Could he handle guys that are 6-5 240 to 250 pounds like Wladimer
He would take apart every guy except for Wlad. As far as that fight goes, its a toss up. Tyson is skilled enough to get inside where Wlad would get eaten up, but its possible the size advantage is too much and Tyson gets beat down.
I think Mike's only weakness even if he was at his peak, would still be his inability to get out of the way of shots when he was hurt. He was never badly hurt from 1986 thru 88 with the exception of getting stunned by Tony Tucker and Bonecrusher Smith at the end of there fight.
His mindset is to come forward and attack,so if he does get hurt he's not versatile enough to get on that bicycle and box for a couple of minutes until he clears his head.
I honestly think and saw that he was off balance from the shot in the first round that Tucker hit him with.He had both feet in front of him and was jabbing when Tucker threw the right to the CHEST.

I think i've seen video of versatile boxing in these forums, he is pretty good, probably one of the best boxers in the forum, has a tyson style, maybe thats why he's his biggest fan. Unless you are like 6'5 elite soldier, i don't see you breaking him in half. Do you plan on going pro versatile?
VERSATILE2K7 the ***got who sucks tysons cock hides behind a computer because he knows that I'd break him in half in real life. Bitch boy, oh you made me red. I'd fuck you up in real life geek
You'd break me in half in real life?:lol1: :lol1:
I think so yes....would he maybe struggle with some of the seriously big guys that are around today? yeah maybe a little....but if Tyson never lost his head he would have been better then he was....
About "shortening his prime" I dont feel that way at all....to be honest I think Tyson lost his prime PHYSICAL years in prison....the undisputed champ tyson could have physically gotten better imo....what happened was he lost his head...and he lost all the people around him that could control him....he mental prime was MUCH shorter than his physical prime....The Tyson that got out of jail was just at the end of his physical prime (IMO) but his mind was already gone...and by the time he fought Holyfield the first time that combination was too much to overcome...
Tyson had GOAT talent and ability....but is a seriously sad story....agreed, I think Tyson definetaly had the ability to even be considered greater than Ali. I just hate to see a fighter's talent not used to it's fullest potential.

So when exactly was Tyson's prime? after 1 loss a fighters prime is over? it seems like the Tyson fan's keep shortening Tyson's prime.
What he's saying is that Tyson was slumping before the Douglas fight which is true, as evident by the Bruno fight and others. He didn't go from peak to prime overnight after the Douglas fight, he was already slipping. The Douglas fight is just the icing on the cake as he was completely ill prepared against a very game fighter who for one shining moment motivated himself to a level of greatness he never reached before or since. Tyson got motivated again, and rebounded somewhat against Razor Ruddock and even Holyfield to a degree but he was never the same fighter he was when he initially won the title; too many lost years, bad habits, lack of focus, and growing mental problems.
the only person in this era that i dont see tyson beating is Vitali Klitchko. Vitali has a concrete chin, and alot of boxing skill. he would have his way with Mike. Wladimer has boxing skill but he has a weak chin and if Lamon Brewster, corrie saners, and Ross Purity can reach his chin, i know tyson could.
You're a retard. The only noticeable wins on Mikes record is against a fat looking larry holmes and spinks. And turn me red retard, wow like it does anything to my posting abilities moron.
And those fights you probably havnt seen. You're a delusional prick that is annoying to almost everyone on here. Your opinions are complete shit. I bet you've never seen 10 prime fights of Tyson.
Wlads chin seems a bit glassy, so all you Mike Tyson fans can say he can beat Wlad. But theres no way in hell a prime Mike Tyson is beating Lewis or Vitali.
Please shut the fuck up. You probably havnt looked at 3 Tyson fights in his prime. Im considering turning you red. You're pretty damn annoying.
you mean "right now, right now"??? "Iron" Mike Tyson would walk right through EVERYBODY. And yes, that includes the Klitschko bros.
Like I said.....the "IRON" Mike, from Catskill N.Y.
be true to yourself, prime "Iron" Mike Tyson was one bada**!
Why do people keep talking about Douglas? Tyson was so far gone from his technical style, a that point. You could actually see his style going to shit when he fought Bruno. He stopped the head movement, threw only wild punches, and disposed of the jab completely. We don't even have to mention his mind state and his training habits
There's no way that a prime Tyson who still used the skills that Cus taught him would lose to today's top fighters. So when exactly was Tyson's prime? after 1 loss a fighters prime is over? it seems like the Tyson fan's keep shortening Tyson's prime.

-Tyson was poorly prepared and by most accounts on a drinking/sex binge leading up to the Douglas fight. Douglas was inspired and fought the fight of his life. Tyson has only himself to blame for not taking the fight seriouisly, but there's no way you can argue that James beat him at his best. Please.
-Vitali most certainly wasn't beating Lewis because of his modest height advantage. Of course size matters to an extent but there are many, many, many, many more variables to consider. What a narrow and highly inaccurate way to analyze a fight.
-I do think Tyson would have a hard time with Vitali and Wlad. Vitali is uber durable, fight's tall, smart, and hits with knockout power in both hands. Wlad is also big, smart, and strong with the jab; though slightly more vunerable. I don't think he could risk brawling with Mike like Vitali could. Than again, Mike might be too quick for either of them.
Again, I think prime Lewis could hang with Mike and avoid getting knocked out if he fought tight, smart and "tall." Much like Wlad, I think he would probably spend most of the fight on the defense. Wlad is a stronger jabber and more dynamic offensively, so he might stand a better chance of hurting Mike though.
yeah, Tyson would overwhelm poor Valuev.
Good Points
Still on sedatives still Douglas down for 13 seconds.
lol! by that logic you can say lewis never lost. The ref should have left Lewis continue after he got up from the McCall knockdown and let him fight after getting knocked out by Rahman. It doesn't matter what you think, the ref's call is final and that is it. I accepted those losses, why can't you? Get over it!
Valuev vs. Mike or Wlad vs. Mike where guys have like a 12 inch height advantage would still lose to Mike cuz really alot of credit should be due to Kevin Rooney, Rooney could find ways for Mike to score punches on them.
