In my years of being a fan of pugilism... I don't recall a big, expected title fight that might be more of a lock than I consider Mayweather/Hatton.
This post really isn't meant to be informative or some place to debate both sides... because I think if you simply look at the facts then there's no way Hatton can win outside of a good deal of luck or bad luck on Floyd's part.
...................
Most knockouts by floyd in the past were by attrition...going up 4 times in weight makes it harder for him to knock someone out...Since mayweather is usually the smaller man at this weight i think his tendency not to trade is very smart he has so much skill that he is able to go up 4 weight classes and continue to win.... without much power....pretty impressive to me... now hatton's knockouts are by attrition also but hatton wont be able to achieve this because he mayweather is too elusive... hatton coming forward isnt going to work floyds seen to many styles to be fooled now...hatton brings nothing revolutionary... and floyd will figure him out easely... hatton just comes forward but dosent slip punches on the way in like duran used to do... now i can admire any man with heart which many people say hatton has...but heart alone cannot save u when the landslide coming at u is all skill....
I don't like either fighter... but why would people want to see Hatton knock Mayweather out?
Wouldn't people rather see Mayweather step up to the plate and swing away? Knock Hatton's block off scoring an impressive knockout? We know PBF is the better fighter and I think most people are quick to get on him for his style, but he's the best there has been for quite a while. If he was more entertaining, why wouldn't you want to root for him?
hatton will get beat
I think hatton will get beat by floyd. I dont like floyd cuz he doesnt knock people out but he is a very good fighter. This fight would be a mismatch and floyd would easily outbox and beat hatton. I hope he knock this kid out.
tell you all this Rick Ross still hustlin mixtape is off the hook.......oh yeah and I'll be rooting for Hatton to KO that fucking shitbag but doubt it'll happen......

I tend to agree.
As far as I'm concerned the absolute key to this fight is Mayweather's fighting heart. If he is prepared to actually fight and go to a very painful place he never has been before against a rough tough bruiser like Hatton, then his superior talent should see him through. Anything less than total and utter commitment to do whatever is necessary will result in a loss for Mayweather.
I just have a feeling that this fight will surprise most people and that Mayweather will bail out when the going gets too tough.

The only thing gayer than that post... and the one in my sig... is the man in your avatar.
I'd be fine with Floyd taking a loss before he retires.. but quite frankly if there's one thing I couldn't stand it'd be a fighter who doesn't deserve to beat him getting even more hype (ie Hatton).
I just think Ricky is cooler than Floyd. I appreciate his fighting style much more........I'd rather see some clinching mixed with a fast workrate....than watching an ultra defensive shoulder roll and bicycle ride.
After all he knocked out my favorite fighter with 1 single punch.

I'd love nothing more than to see Hatton administer Floyd his first loss.

Pretty much... although I honestly expect Hatton to pretty much physically give up by round 9 or so. He'll be hit with too many shots, even light ones, and demoralized. He's not an idiot and he'll know he's well behind on the cards.
I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to fight an opponent like Floyd. The quick accurate punches and an ungodly amount of movement around the ring.
It'll be a Clear UD w/ Floyd only losing 3 rounds at the most.

I kind of would agree with this.
I think Floyd won't have much of a hard time winning on the cards at all. But I don't think he's going to stop Ricky.......it's just that Ricky's punches will look kind of like Oscar's when he tried to close the gap and get in the clinch. The judges will ignore his workrate and simply score rounds for Floyd's accuracy. Hatton gets hit too often to not have that exploited by Floyd.
