your an asshole, you've been apart of this forum for a few months, you dont even know what your talking about..a few of my predictions was...raheem would beat morales EASILY..i said hatton would beat tszyu when nobody even knew who hatton was!, i said forest would beat mosley because he's too tall..i said wright would beat mosley..i said wright would beat trinidad because trinidad is 1 dimensional, i said taylor would beat hopkins one day when nobody knew who taylor was..and the list goes on
I've only been here a few months, and I'm already sick of your stupid threads, and your terrible grammar/spelling.
I looked at your predicitions this year, pretty damn average if you ask me. Get out of your own ass, and turn off your ego trip.

yes, so be careful who you call an 'animal' and a 'legend' because animals are animals in different weight divisions..chavez only moved up 2 weight divisions, if he moved too 154 from 135 ala duran mayweather mosley, he lost to randall at 140,
he is a champion in 3 weight classes man, when he moved up to welterweight is when he slowed down significantly and his style is no good if his blocking parrying speed isnt there, duran was better in everything chavez did and a little bigger, but duran is in a class of his own, in fact the next best thing to roberto duran is julio cesar chavez and as someona has said, a legend can be beat by an avarage fighter...
in fact his prime neded in the whitaker fight, when he moved up in weight and that is, i think his only real loss in his prime, the taylor fight is debatable....
but chavez koed greg haugen, whose only loses were decisions to whitaker and prime pazienza(1-2 against him) and camacho(close as fuck fight)(1-1), rosario, mayweather, ramirez and taylor were the only other big names out there apart of whitaker and he beat them....
i agree his record isnt spectacular because he lost to the best, however as iv said watch his fights in his prime and you cannot say he wasnt special, even in the taylor fight(one of my favorite fights of all time)he shows what he could do in his prime at his best weight...

funny, i have 7 chavez fights downloaded on my pc right now...plus i can remember when he fought, i'll admit i didnt see the majority of his fights when he fought bums in mexico, but i say all his "key fights" and he wasnt that great...in the tszyu match he was past his prime, although i doubt he could beat tszyu in his prime, but de la hoya cleary showed with a boxer on his toes can do to a SLOW, LUMBERING, CALCULATED "TAKE 4 TO LAND 1" could do.
LEGENDS and GREATS, can move thru weights capturing titles, chavez couldnt do that..he's nothing more with yory boy campas with a superficial record

U dumb ass! U seriously dont know shit about Chavez so stop talking.
you have never seen chavez fight, period....

chavez was younger then de la hoya is now when they fought..if you put the de la hoya now vs the chavez he fought at 147, you'd get the same result
thers different levels of fighters...clubfighters average solid good great legends...there is no such thing as a legend or great fighter who has a "take 4 punches to land 1" style...chavez was solid-good fighter not great and dam sure not a legend only BOXREC geeks who are impressed by his record and probably never seen a chavez fight would call that guy a legend..he reminded me of carlos baldomir but more offensive minded.
frankie randall wasnt even that good and he beat chavez, and chavez was in his prime when he fought randall..alot of mexican fighters turn pro as teenager, this guy had not lost a step when he fought randall and randall was like a notch under zab judah, thats the pathetic thing about it

Chavez had great bending and wasn't that easy to hit. When Oscar fought him, he was way past his prime. People also tend to ignore the fact that he fought Whitaker at welterweight, which was not his weight. His defence was underrated. It's a joke to compare him to Castillo and especially Campas. Hatton is a good fighter, but not in the class of Chavez.

based on a few years of predictions and analysts, im at the top of the food chain on this forum..chavez isnt 10 times better then anybody, any boxer on his feet could beat chavez's "take 4 punches to land 1" style
castillo, yory boy campas, julio chavez are all the same

You have a biased opinion because I bet you will pick floyd to beat Chavez at 140. Tell me I'm wrong, you won't tell me I'm wrong
Good call. I learned this really fucking crazy thing about boxing though that you might not know yet. Someone told me that styles make fights. Floyd Mayweather seems to fight like Pernell Whitaker more than Hatton. That's just my (obviously biased) opinion.
OK, first off the nly food chain you are on top of is the one at Burger King.
Second, I know you are just trying to get a rise out of people but IF you are serious, you ahve lost what little credibility you thought you had by saying Chavez was nothing special.
Chavez did fight alot of guys that weren't big names but that's only because Chavez always had a philosophy of staying active, something alot of fighters in todays game should learn from. Chavez also fought everyone that was anyone in his weight class. He never ducked anyone and fought the best that was out there for him.
Chavez greatest atribute was his accuracy IMO. He had a granit chin, yes. He had very good power, not great, I'll give you that. And of course he had the heart of a true warrior but his greatest atribute was how he never wasted punches. The one thing I have tried to learn from watching Chavez in the ring was to keep my eyes up while inclose to an opponent, especially if I have him on the ropes. It's easier said than done because your instinct is to keep your head down, trying to avoid getting hit. Watch Chavez and see how he just picks fighters apart, especially in close. He was a master technician and shouldn't be disscredited because he fought often, because he also fought the best.
great post...chavez's technique on the inside both offensively and defensively is fucking outstanding....

dam right there you fat fuck
this would be an awesome fight at 140, i give the edge to hatton because of speed
WTF! u did not just put ricky in JCC's level JCC would fukin destroy Hatton with body shots. Hatton would not be coming foward. JCC K.Os him 7 rounds
this is pure ignorance...95% of you guys who post on this message board are idiots! 95%..everytime you take an older guy vs a guy on the scene now you all ALWAYS say the older guy wins with all these ignorant foolish comments like "the fight dosent go 5 rounds" KO IN 4...chavez was not that good, he was an inside fighter with a solid chin and no power..if you give hatton a chance vs cotto (a guy with similar style but much stronger and more power) then not giving him a change vs the overrated chavez is absurd

anybody who's been apart of this forum for a while should know by now that i know my stuff
i agree with that
Chavez had no power huh? IT seems like you havent watched most of his fights. If you knew a lil about boxing you would understand how
jcc power worked. IT ws like Tysons power it was the kind of power that hurts you every shot. Slowly breaks you down> he would see anyone hurt qnd he would finish them>
are u seriously comparing chavez's power to mike tysons????????
If Hatton beats Floyd Mayweather Jr I think it would be fair to make Hatton the favourite in this match-up.
It's a big 'if' though.
If Ricky beats Floyd he's hands down the best P4P fighter in boxing. There's just absolutely no arguing with that, at all.
