Before this fight he stated that if he lost, he will retire, on the post fight interview he announced that this was his last fight.
Do you think that he should call it a career or give us one more fight??
Should he retire?
He WAS retired last night by a northwest-sider who I believe is a year older than him.
War for Four? Yeah, four losses in a row for "El Terrible".
Maybe he should try a "War for Five".
You really need to watch the fight or stop smoking crack. Show some respect, he's one of the toughes and bravest fighters of our time, he's always been a warrior and given us many many great fights over his career.
Way way to many hard fights ,It's better for him to go now then to stick around and get hurt .
You can just see in the last year or so that he hasn't been that same person.
It's not so much the fight thats the killer, it's the months of hard graft you have to put in to get in shape, your body tends to get you back for it at a later date
why should he last night he proved he's still good enough, to me he is the new champ shocking home dicision not as fast but still well in with a shout as a top pro why not go out on a high, but only he can make the decision and we all no boxers tend to make the wrong one but for the right reasons, one more time ERIK
time for this living legend to call it a day.....great career....1st ballot HOF in my opinion.....his 1st fight with barrera and pac are what i will cherish the most.....thank you eric......hasta la vista homeboy.....
Yeah it's been a pleasure watching him but unless he is going to fight lower level comp he should probably hang em up or maybe take a year or two off and see how he feels. He is only like 30 I think......just to many wars.
although i wanted to see him end his career on a more positive note, i respect his decision of retiring ... so be it!!
props to ERIK for a well fought CAREER!!
I KNOW FOR THE FANS YOU HAVE PROVEN MORE THAN ENOUGH!!
Amen to that. Erik has given us so many memories, enjoy your retirement my friend.
He was a great warrior and gave us many great fights. He's not at the same level he used to be at and he made a good decision of calling it quits. He really has nothing left to prove.

i preidcted it 2-3 years ago...morales isnt that good so him moving up in weight wont be good..he looks great at 126 vs smaller guys but if he had to move to 140 he'd take a beating by an average 140 pounder
Damn, abdiel you write so well even if I can't read you. Wasup bro? wachu say about rafa's lose, you think the ref sucks?
Lol
dats what ya get when ya kill a bottle of don julio
by the time the rafa-isy fight came round
i was more then just buzzed
i know the action was great
i remeber him goin down
then traden couple shots
then rafa was getin the worse of the exchange and then they stopped it
ill def rewatch and be back with more thoughts
but for now
after couple of shots myself
Lol
i think i remember it being a good stoppage
think rafa tryed to back him up with strength n bombs
instead of boxing and technique like last time
he can only blame himself
for now
wait til i rewatch it tho
whata performance!!!!!!!
even tho he shoulda by most peoples estimation been blown away
he , in my eyes, only lost a couple of rounds
not only that
but managed to get a clean and sweeT!!!!! knockdown by the naturaly bigger guy
would i like to see him continue
yes
do i feel he can continue
yes
do i think he wants to continue or even NEEDS to continue
no
i think hes had a long enough career
went out the way he wanted
even if the judges didnt wanna give it him
great career
great person
thank you Erik EL TERRIBLE Morales for being someone to look up too

well in the 2nd pac fight he father wasnt in his corner and told him to retire but the 3rd he was and Diaz but still he should know when is enough is enough he will end up half brain dead and bluring out words. He got the more important thing in life other than boxing

Even though he clearly won that fight, I think he should retire. He had trouble making 135 and it will get harder and harder for him. I don't want him to end up like Gatti.
