By the ring magazine rule, if #1 vs 2 or 3 ranked contenders fight each other, it will be for the ring magazine belt.
Alot of ppl don't see this fight as the "WORLD TITLE" fight but i do.
Pac just seems to constantly fight guys who were at their peak about 7 or 8 years ago.
After the Barrera fight 5 of his last 7 opponents will have been coming off a loss (or something thereabouts)
His inability to fight his prime peers will always be questioned throughout history.
Pac ko's Barrera and suddenly Barrera's not in his prime.
Barrera beats Morales and then people thought he took Pac easy.
Barrera beats Ayala and he's back in his prime.
Morales beats Pac and he was still at his prime.
Pac ko's Morales twice, and suddenly Morales is shot.
Tell me, has there ever been a fighter who beat Morales convincingly (save Raheem who was running all night) aside from Pac?
If Morales beats Diaz this Saturday, people will be thinking he was dehydrated against Pac.
Too many excuses and too much bitterness kills this sport.

thats bogus man, He might have fought a Barrera near the end of his prime but not out of his prime, Same with Morales, same with Marquez. The guy is a destroyer and his only downfall will now be of his own doing. Roach and Pacman have developed weapons from both sides now and he is very close to the perfect pressure fighter minus a small lack of defensive skill. Barrera best bring his A game and hope Pacman is distracted or he will receive an even worse beating due to his strong sense of pride

You can't fight them all. That puts unnecessary mileage on a fighter.
I wasn't talking about MAB/EM 2... the first two fights had fucked up decisions, but the third fight was the one when Barrera was seriously written off because of his loss to Pacquiao, and he basically beat Morales down. Then Morales turned around and showed that it wasn't because he was shot with his excellent performance against Pacquiao in their first fight. Barrera seems to only get his drive going when he loses a big fight. This really could be one the biggest upsets of the year if Barrera wins.
i know man, but you said barrera was good at rematches.....

he got outboxed by morales in the rematch my friend(he got a gift), he also lost a close rematch vs junior jones, though he did much better than in the first fight...
barrera can pull it off only of pacquiao gives him too much respect...but why should pacqiao give barrera respect when he has already brutally Knocked him out??

Im a big Barrera fan but I really doubt he can pull this one off.
I'm a big Pacquiao fan but I won't be surprised if Barrera pulls this one off. Pac like his fight with Solis could just take it easy in the beginning and then panic when realizing he could be losing rounds. Pac is getting a little cocky with all these distractions. In other words, I think Pac needs to lose in order to reset his hunger in boxing. Look what happened to Pac after his lost to Morales, went on a rampage KOing everything in site (except for Larios).
In my view the Ring titles are the only legitimate ones. I wrote off the the Alphabet Parasites years ago.

That's true, I think the guys at Golden Boy feel the same way.
I like Barrera, but i'm all for Pac. Barrera IMHO looked good against JMM. He just wasn't active enough. I think if he conditions harder this time and is more active, he will put up a good fight. Pac scares me with all his distractions.
It's the first time that Barrera has looked completely shot coming into a big fight. Does anyone remember Barrera/Morales 3? This could be a coming out party for Barrera, especially because he seems to do so well in rematches.

i see it like this. if pacqiao give barrera enough room to out box him. then barrera can pull it off. (eric morales gave pacqiao a boxing lesson in thier first fight so maybe barrera can do it) but if pacqiao is on barrera like he was in thier first fight....... he will run right through barrera again! I pick pacqiao by 9th round stoppage because he can get barrera to slug with him and then it will be over for barrera.
