We always talk mostly about Winky vs Floyd but I always put Hopkins above Winky. How do you guys stand now and who is better between Hopkins & Wright. Winky is good but he's far too one demesional for me to put him above Floyd or Hopkins. Also, Floyd & X hardly ever get hit clean and definatly not alot but Winky has had a few fights where he gets hit clean alot. Recently against Taylor & Soliman. I cant speak for the Hopkins fight because I didnt see that
ok but mayweather got good defense 24/7 he wouldnt of got hit with that many punches so u can just rule winky out of it ya dig?:
I would pick Floyd over Winky, but let's wait until he is 35 and see how he does.
the thing is winky mayweather and spinks can only hurt you .. hopkins and young non heavyweight toney could put you to sleep and damage you
But the Mayweather of now fights well above his natural weight, look at Mayweather at 130 and you would see some sleeping going on, too.
I still disagree even with "flush" (I gathered you meant that from the beginning)
Now either we meet with a keg of beer and watch all of Hop and PBF's fights (something I will have time for around Christmas... I had other plans for, and I am pretty sure the same goes for you) and count the damn punches. Or we wil have to just happily disagree.
I would enjoy the beer, WM. :beerchug:
But I'll settle for happily disagreeing for now.
Cheers.
are you being serious? what part of what I typed makes you think that I thought Oscar won the fight? Floyd fought most of the fight on the defensive, he was not running like many idiots claim, but sure as hell he was not on the offensive like he was against Judah.
Throwing punches is certainly agression, but missing them doesnt make it effective at all.
I find your interpretation of the Mayweather vs. De La Hoya fight to be quite different than mine.. But that's to be expected.
You're losing me a little bit here..
Hit, as in HIT.
Would you like me to add the word FLUSH?
Will that make you happy?
"Mayweather was hit flush more times in those 4 fights than Hopkins in his entire career."
There. :fing02:
No don't bullshit me.. I'm objective about the fighters and the fights.

Gosh.. It sounds like you think De La Hoya won the fight..
Is that who I'm arguing with right now?
A revisionist? :lol1:

Look, if you think that I am trying to say that Hop is lke Gatti, you are off the mark.
You are the one who stated that PBF got hit more in those four fights than Hopkins in his entire career, and that is *false* as this, and other fights, prove.

1)"initiating the exchanges" those are exactly the 3 minutes out of 36 i was mentioning, unless you intend "landing the only punch in the exchanges"
3) "alternating rythm" i would not call "offense" by any means
4) Oscar threw more lead jabs than Floyd's lead anything. In fact Oscar was throwing more through the whole fight. (Of course, we both noticed he didnt land much)
and finally Hopkins and Toney's is not Pep or Locche's either. they mount a consistent offense, moreso than Mayweather. Especially before they reached retirement age.

What are you talking about???
Echols landed hard shots in the first, landed a few desperate shots in the mid rounds, and landed one huge right in the 12th.
He BARELY landed over the course of that fight, and any SINGLE shot that landed was overly highlighted by his awesome strength.
Don't let perception fool you.

Yes, Mayweather won the fight by going on the offensive by initiating the exchanges, throwing the lead right, and alternating rythm..
What fight did you see??

On the offensive? against Oscar? for like 3 minutes out of 36, evenly distributed across all 12 rounds.
