It's funny that when Floyd "uses his legs" people say running but when B-hop does it it's OK! I like Bernard's style because he moves and then he'll lunge in and play rough on the inside. Floyd never mixes it up. He throws potshots and runs away.

lol you're an idiot, and Harold Lederman is the 1 who should be giving up his spot, not Merchant. Hopkins won 8 rounds easy. How can you give a round to a guy who comes forward and doesn't land anything but the odd jab. Hopkins has clean effective punching throughout, anybody who thinks Wright won or that the fight was that close is delusional Yeah, I think your right Lederman is becoming a bit of a joke. Piss him off and let uncle roger score the fights with his Brother.

Anybody who says Winky won that know fuck all about judging a bout. Bernard clearly won that fight. Winky Clearly wasn't comfortable at that weight. At 160 it would have been a different story but last night Bernard "The Living Legend" Hopkins won. END OF THREAD!

even winky knew he lost...he just didn't seem like himself (but who is against b-hop)..at the end of every round we usually see Winky with his hands up, boasting...but not this time...he looked discouraged through out the fight..

Clearly Winky got robbed last nite...........from what i saw hopkins barely hit him with his fists he hit him with his head the whole fight. Like winky said after the fight i proved to yall that he is dirty all he did was head butt and hold..........Did u see them sneaky low blows he gave winky too i dont understand how ne one can give Bernard his props he is the dirtiest fighter n the game today.........and the ugliest. Running in and flaying your arms around might get u somewhere in a street fight but in the sport of boxing it just makes u looks like shit. Hopkins won clearly, its not all winkys fault his corner kept telling him to make it a dog fight he just looked completely out of his element.

I think Howard Lederman said it best when he said “how can you give the round to a guy that just keeps grabbing?” The scores were bullshit and should have been a lot closer. Anybody can see that. I had it 115-113 for Winky. Not to mention the fact that Hopkins should have had some points taken. I know you have to do what it takes to win but the ref did nothing about it and warned Hopkins about a hundred times. How many times can you warn someone and not to anything about it? Hopkins won because Golden Boy promoted the event plain and simple. Care to share your scorecard? Round-by-round.

First, Lederman said that, BUT scored it a draw. So, there's that. Second of all, he scored based on styles in this fight, not who did the most damage or controlled the fight more. Which is, sad to say the least. In my personal opinion.

I've no doubt Hopkins won this fight, but it was a lot closer than scored by the judges. More like Hopkins 115-113. Many of the early rounds were probably given to Hopkins for aggressiveness, but it wasn't effective at all; the large majority of his punches were taken by Wright's gloves.

And that's just it...Hopkins gets the advantage because of his age...The old farts juding the fight are so in awe at what he's doing at his age...that they are clouded by what the other fighter is doing....Winky was pressing the action and Hopkins was hitting, holding and running all night long...He would ocassionally....flurry like Sugar Ray Leonard just to get the judges to score good for him...but in reality those punches hit Winky's gloves... I can't believe some of you...You guys score the williams vs margarito fight for margarito...when that fight was a clear win for williams...and your saying this fight was a 117-111 fight...You guys need to drop the crack pipe...and those judges should be fired.

Im a big floyd fan.....but i have to say that hopkins is the best fighter ive ever seen...styles make fights and hopkins finds a way to beat any style..now an old timer he continues to amaze...last night he handled winky wright... much props to hopkins for another win...and here's to his legacy.... How can yo say he's the best...Roy whipped is ass...Don't let that Tarver fight fool ya...Roy is back...not to mention....Hopkins isn't even the best old school fighter...James Toney is the best pure boxer alive... I'm sorry...but i've lost respect for the Dirtiest fighter in the game...Toney wins fights without fighting dirty...He might be using steriods late in the game...but he's still the best techincal fighter of this era...

If you went by what Lederman said there is no wonder you thought Winky won. Lederman was way off last night it was terrible. Lederman has usually been off alot lately. he needs to get replaced. no way that was a draw like he had it. i was with people who never seen a fight before last night and they said hopkins clearly won the fight. dont bring down ur fighter winky fans like marg fans have been doin this whole week. there both great, there both HOF fighters, but b-hop was the better man last night.

hopkins won with no controversy. i had it 116-112 for hopkins. winky fought well but hopkins was the one workin from the outside and the inside more than winky. it was a good fight i thought way more exciting than expected.
