I'm American and I find the Aussies to be much more down to earth and typically easier to get along with than the British who seem to have some type of dementia that has overrun their little island.
Danny Green fought Ottis Griffin on PPV here the other night and the American national anthem was clapped at the end by the 6000 crowd , they booed Griffin during the contest but they stood and clapped the USA anthem , I was quite proud actually , I like to see stuff like that , shows character .
Yeah thats whats so great about going to some of Greens fights in perth, most of the time the audience shows great respect for dannys opponents, iv been to 4 of hes fights including the one against Griffin and each time we have always stood during the anthem and given hes opponent a standing ovation after the fight..
well would you laught or boo or even whisper if the Queen was present? no because to show her respect like or dislike her.
This song represent the Aus. and booing at it shows abit of disrespect.
I'm a republican so that's hardly a good example.
I bet the Aussies don't really give much of a fuck if we boo their anthem.
It's just a song.

no it's racist but disrespectful. maybe if someone is talking during national anthem is abit rude but sometimes you could ignore it but booing a national anthem is bad:ugh:
I know you all people are nationalistic theme and all that but there is a Quote from the Queen herself : " If you can not make friend then dont make enemies."
It's just a song.
I hate green teef brit fags.
Fortunately for you, there's only a few hundred people with such teeth in existance in Britian.
In the southern states of the US on the other hand...
If boo'ing a national anthem is racist than America hasn't got shit on Britian.

Thats because in general we are more unbiased than the Brits , they are all gung ho we are the best because we are british , the Aussies on average are probably one of the most non racists countrys in the world , as a people we are very multi-cultural and love the underdog , I have some Brit friends via my missus that are life long friends but they are very I am in nature .
British people don't have that attitude at all.
British people just love being British and the fact we accept we are second best is a national problem.
and lol @ a country who has a 'no forigners' policy being more multicultural and 'less racist'.
ehhh
What's worse? Booing a national anthem or flying a plane into a tower?
well i didnt plane so STFU whitey :D
another thing those people are coming for something offical its sports suppose to bring people together.
this is why I voted brits are more annonying
well that show that many brit are classless disrespectful people.
I would be silence on any national anthem to show respect at least is not to boo at it.
For my racism on both is alike.

Hmm.. i will admit i've booed a few national anthems in my time. I dont think a fear of being booed is the reason nobody comes to England to compete though. Its just a joke to be honest - and people usually boo our anthem afterwards anyway! lol.
it just once of the factors like what if those crowd was out of control like Hagler-Alan fight.
I bet you a million if Tzyu won the fight it will look ugly.
You'd fucking boo it too if you heard it though - who wants to sit there and listen to 5 minutes of digereedoo. "OOHWOOWWOOWWOOW....."
Technically don't us English still own Australia???... so we can hate our own possesions if we want. I mean... its like hitting your dog or something. I mean, people can be cross about it, but at the end of teh day, its your dog, so you can do what you want.
even if you still own it but you still have to respect them. you wouldnt like it if it happen to you when you national anthem is on. so respect others as others going to respect you but dont expect someone to respect you if you dont respect them. THe problem is not a small group but nearly the whole stadium. yes okay you love you country but you dont have to disrespect others for it.
Another thing why nobody wants to come to Britian to fight and you keep complianing over it
can i go for both?
well, usalless tough is not effective. :D
I trying to be neutral in this sitaution and see over the fact.
mickeyb you're a shit stirrer. romper stomper a documentary indeed :D
well the result of this poll shows it all. there are shit fans from every nation. although mundine nuthuggers are some of the worst.
as far as racism in australia.. well we cover the whole spectrum. in the main id say we are a fairly accepting and multi cultural country but there's no denying we have our redneck racists
the worst fans are clearly American fans. The ones ive seen always shout stuff like YEEEAHHHH and CMONNNN for no reason at all....that and the fact they have one beer and are completely wasted. Its like a scene out of deliverance.
so drinking more beer makes you a tougher person or dumber person?
