I love boxing, it’s by far one of my favorite sports. But as much as I love the sport I think the vast majority of the comments and the analysis that boxers provide are meaningless. Here are some of the typical comments that are made:
1. “He’s ducking me.”
2. “He hasn’t fought anyone.”
3. “He hasn’t any power,” or, “He hasn’t any skills,”
4. “I give him credit but (add in any excuse you can that actually takes away credit from your opponent’s victory)
5. Repeat any of the above in a slightly different way.
Seriously, it’s the one sport where I think interviews are worthless. There hardly isn’t any honesty about your opponent or how you yourself fought. I understand this to a point, but after a while it’s just boring to listen to. I think it turns off fans as well. But then again maybe I’m wrong, maybe it pumps you up as a fan to hear your favorite boxer talk “big”. Maybe I’m just missing the point. What do you guy’s think?

I love it when boxers talk lol its funny because u get to see their personality ( i always have a great laugh when James Toney talks lol)
well, look at WWE, that shit is huge and its all fake and its PURE DRAMA AND VIOLENCE (not real, but nonetheless)...
You got me there. Good point. Maybe drama is drama no matter what.
You made some great points, but is it really drama if you know its fake? It's like they pre-fight interview where more often than not both boxers go at each other. You know its coming so when it happens you aren't that impressed.
But your right, I guess on the rare occasion if it is real then it does provide some drama which people do love in boxing.

yea that sometimes gets annoying hearin all that trash talk and excuses and shit, but i think that without, boxing wouldnt sell as many tickets cuz there would be no drama. i really think its an artform really, cuz if u watch early ufc and all that stuff, the fighters that lose say they lost and they want another fight and thats it, but now more and more they are blaming certain things and makin excuses as well, because people love two things: violence and drama. but yea i get wut ur sayin.
